A bit left field, but this couple live near me now. They had a wonderful little place in the Tarka valley but were forced off by the council…..they have built a great little business here and won a big award last year of €15,000 for their business which is natural basket weaving part of which is they make basket weave coffins. Im sure if they had wanted to plaster a housing estate all over that pretty little valley they would have been welcomed with open arms. Yes greyman I've done helvellyn from that carpark in thirlmere I tend to stay in keswick 95% of time and always book in places before I go for food etc but if on weekend or anything you can't get in anywhere to eat see people cueing up outside places on off chance a place in bar or table comes up and see odd Asian up there but not many but sure they'll start venturing further up
