  7. The same area. Amazing that there was usually something to hunt despite the amount of lads who worked it. No one had permission, the farmer was resigned to it unless any damage was done. Some things new in the landscape. A new bridge over the Wear and industrial estates. The location of the new industrial estates were always good for the chance of kicking a hare up. Good chance of kicking them up but slim chance of catching one with the lurchers my mates owned. That changed when I got a non-ped whippet

  10. A stroll down memory lane today. May seem like boring pictures of undergrowth, which they are, but the site of what we used to refer to as "the gardens". Small holdings/allotments technically and ultimately owned by a local farmer but we paid a small annual rent and occupancy was dependant on the current "owner" deciding to sell, which did not happen too often. Prices varied with those having decent kennel and run set ups commanding a premium. I was 1st introduced to this Shangri-La in the late 1970's but could have passed for the 1870's. Housing sporting dogs of all types but mostly terr

  20. Honest answer is I don’t know , but I’d assume they all go into orbit, but I’m an Aero Engineer , not an Astro Engineer You are sceptical or don’t believe, I’m a firm believer but I respect everyone’s opinion and I’m not going to trawl the internet to convince you As I’ve said before, I’ve worked with people for Lockheed who were on the Apollo Programme and I believe them rather than the conspiracy theorists, and try to limit my opinions to personal experience as far as possible Cheers.
