Is that a naturehike cloud peak ? …

It is mate, the cloudpeak 2

It’s a cracking little tent and for the money it’s doubtful you could buy better ?

Had 30mph gusts last night and it stayed solid.

Not really roughing it but there is a wedding reception on in the marina, hog roast, bar and music in the marquee everyone invited as it’s being held along with the annual Moore’s party which often ends in a drunken brawl between two pissed up windmilling specialists who should be old enough to know better, but quite fun to watch and not far to wobble back when I’m done ??

I’d need a handrail to get back along there half-cut! Suppose a swim would sober me up quick enough.

I posted last week about a planed very short road trip and camping thing. Anyway, the old car made it there and back in fine style. Needed a jump start next morning but the car owner had a mad bit of kit with him, sort of a defibrillator for cars, and got it going. Had not seen one before.

Great to sleep under canvas again, however short the stay. And nice to drive down in an interesting car. Needs music though, and no point installing a device to play music before proper sound proofing. Not everyone loves the sound of an ancient air cooled engine behind their head.

Talking to a mate today about classic cars. The Karmann Ghia is my all time (since I was 15 anyway) favourite. I would love to own one. Nearest I came was 3 Beetles, also 3 MGB's, 1 Triumph Stag, 1 Triumph 2500, 1 Triumph 2000, 1 Triumph Spitfire and a Lancia Beta. But, the VW Porsche lookalike is still on my bucket list.

Good tents I had a cloudpeak a while back. When you compare them with the soulo range price wise there’s no comparison.

Been looking at 4 season tents and the Hille Soulo is certainly on the list, sadly the only thing that lets the CP2 down is that it’s only really a 3 season tent as the fly sits about 4” off the ground letting quite a lot of air to come through, cracking for the warmer months though.

I’m lucky that I don’t really feel the cold and a three season tent does me fine in this country’s climate.

Yeah, been watching loads of his channel, appears to be in quite a fortunate position being able to be out as much as he is and fair play to him…

Scotlands Mountains - he does some absolute wicked hikes and camps, also Andrew Beavers is worth watching too, he does lots in the Peak District but does travel all over for a camp ?

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
