Not sure nowadays to be honest but that's what i always thought, not that it made much difference what the driving laws were back then. Most of us bought motors from scrap yards etc and eeked a few more years out the old things but by feck we had some fun doing it and i have memories that are sometimes hard to believe even though i was doing it or i was there....

.Just found a pic of my 1952 Austin Loadstar,4 litre 6 pot petrol, full restore on that back to the primer and it was in show condition bar the wing mirrors as i towed a trailer with it and the originals were the size of a tea cup and shit to see out of...Crash gear box,no power streering and 10 mpg, wish i still had it

nice old truck bud....i use to drive my motorhome on a car license as i passed my test before 96-97....it was 10-12 ton and 38 feet long, and with my trailer behind it, it was 56 feet in all.....when i mot'd it each year there wasn't any problems as it was the same mot as a car mot {class 4} i think....whilst i was mot'ing it i actually asked a guy who worked for VOSA about driving it on a car licence and he said, yep...you can....and whilst it was being mot'd it had a loose battery, the guy said he couldn't fail it being a car mot but it was a failer on a HGV....plus on my logbook it was down as a LGV or PLV (not quite sure which now) and not a HGV.....

good luck with your TL 220 conversion bud i hope it turns out good for you....

personally if i was going down your route doing a conversion i would be looking at the ex council library lorry...only because they are half way kitted out already ie....lights, sockets, carpets, heating and possibly air con.....

keep us all posted on the build mate.....

Yes to both mate, we are trusted to declare wether it’s for propulsion or heating and charged two different prices accordingly ?????

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
