  1. First time I watched that I had tears streaming down my face ... funny as!
  2. What about the hoovering, cleaning the windows and putting the bins out??? For God's sake, get your finger out ! Some people are just 'winge, winge, winge'. I would suggest better time management..................if you got up two hours earlier you would have the time to do the other jobs............they just don't make em like they used to ............................................ If she was my wife, she could add "putting a poultice on her black eye" to her list for timewasting. That gave me a good laugh ... after I had a nice, long lie in this morning. Today
  3. Extra hour in bed ... pffft, if only! By 10am this morning I'd gotten the fella off to work, been to the shop, folded up the clean laundry, put my pork shoulder in on slow roast, prepped the veg, fed the sprogs, made the Yorkshire pudding batter, baked a tray of flapjacks, and done the washing up. No rest for the wicked I hate it when the clocks go back!
  4. It's more about when and how you say it. Angrily calling your kid a lazy cow, and shouting other disparaging remarks, in front of her entire team and the opposing team is out of order. My daughter plays U9's, and if she goes out there and has one of those half asleep days where she can't be arsed, I speak to her about it. Privately, after the match. I let the coach do his job first, then I do mine after.
  5. Malt, I once worked it an office with over women in it It was the single worst working experience of my life and I had to quit before I went postal on their asses. Women can be horrible, horrible creatures
  6. I have a good few girl friends ... some super pretty, some not. Some model shaped, some Creme Egg shaped I'm no poster girl myself but I reckon I fall somewhere on the side of fair decent I've got some girls I've been friends with for over 25 years. I'm not the sort of person to be snide. I'm a good mate who's got good mates I guess. Snide, fake sorts don't really get my attention unless I feel the need to put them in their place for being that way. That's just not the type of person I'd surround myself with. We're not all that shallow you know!
  7. I've had the displeasure of hearing a few parents being less than supportive. One in particular who spent the entire match shouting, called his daughter a lazy cow and never gave her an ounce of praise. I wanted to punch him in the mouth but I reckon that wouldn't have set a great example
  8. The 3rd pic down with the Pom in the background .... my sides are hurting  I tell people about that dog and nobody believes me
  9. Folks posting that stuff is messed up ... but ffs why on earth would you watch something like that?
  10. I absolutely love that description ... never met a lurcher who lacked the capacity to convey the most Eeyore-esque qualities
  11. No prize for second place then? Well done Mr Wilkes
  12. It's a horrifying thought, that something might hunt you and eat you The ones I used to see in Toronto were somewhat skittish, used to roam in the green space near the Don Valley Parkway and fan out into the housing around there, I'm not sure if they've been wiped out now. Some of my friends back in Ottawa have told me the ones near where I used to live are getting really ballsy about coming in very close to people. It's right when there's only a few knocking about but when their numbers increase and there's no food for them, trouble starts.
  13. It happens more than you'd think. This was a couple of years back in Canada http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/coyotes-kill-toronto-singer-in-cape-breton-1.779304 Used to see them running in packs on the streets on the outskirts of Toronto, scavenging for food. When I lived in Ottawa they were roaming into estates off the green belt and causing all sorts of alarm for folks. They get pretty bold once they're used to seeing people.
  14. Er well ... um. Might be, might be not. lol
  15. It's one thing, riding through the rough patches and fixing things when they're broken. It's another thing when all there are is rough patches and you look at that person and think ... nope, I just don't want to be here any more. It's not about who's right or wrong, who said or did this or that, it's about that very moment when you just know it's not for you and it's time to move on. That's when it's time to say goodbye. Lingering only causes more drama and you start blaming the other person for stuff when really, it just boils down to admitting you don't love them and you don't want to be wit
  16. Tell you something, that's no a rabbit that's a hare. ... it's a c*nt, that's what it is.
  17. Haven't seen it yet, but I've been watching The Wrong Mans and that's proper good!
  18. Not been on for a couple of days but Mr Wilkes alerted me to being in the final line up - how cool is that Thanks for choosing that shot you guys Some really great pics here. I reckon Mr Wilkes is a clear winner tho - the terrier shot is ace. Well done everybody who submitted, I've enjoyed looking at all the great pictures
  19. I've got the Parcours too - best boot I've had apart from my Dubarry's. They don't half take a beating and never let me down yet. I find the size a bit generous so I just put on a thick sock
  20. Faster shutter speed, and if the light is low you'll have to ramp up the ISO setting. Manual settings are the way forward JDog, just gotta play with it till it sinks in. The 'auto' settings are for pussays lol
  21. Here's one of mine, a few days post op after her knob jockey vet decided that he should put tension sutures in and try to close a heavily bruised and badly torn chest. It should've been treated as an open wound but he played guinea pig with her to 'see if this would work'. He's lucky he still has all his teeth. Took her six full months to heal. Both mine snagged on barb that was left lying in the grass up on the moors yesterday. The whippet is fine but the lurcher has a lovely tear on her hock. It should be banned.
  22. Report it here http://www.doglost.co.uk/ And where are you in Wigan? I'll let a couple of my mates know to keep an eye out.
  23. Whereabouts in Wigan are you and can you give us a description of the pup? Get it reported on Dog Lost as well.
