  2. My old boss offered to pay my way through vet school ... I turned him down. Big mistake. Also wanted to be a journalist. Regrets ... I've had a few

  4. I've uploaded one but went to put another on and got this message. What's that all about then? lol
  5. It will be in their minds to reduce stress to the pup but letting it settle in a new home .... often they have a bit of dire rear and upset tummy when they move to their new home. Stupid advice tho, all things considered. Better to have a pup vax'd than not. I rang up about getting my terrier jabbed when he was only 6 weeks old but had been taken away from his mother at 4 weeks. As we have a lot of parvo about this area and my big dogs were going out for miles and could have potentially walked the bug in on their paws, I wanted him done early. The girl on the phone said that if the big do
  6. Oh also, you might try Justified as well, it's a fair good show
  7. Sons is the very best show I've ever had the pleasure to watch. It just gets better each season. The acting is great, the plot twists and turns ... and you love to hate the bad 'uns. Looking forward to the next season ... the last one was shocking in the best possible way.
  8. All mine are outdoorsy ... been out walking with the dogs since they were all really small (and actually, I did push them across muddy fields in a pram when they couldn't walk far ). They walk for miles, climb trees etc. Exposing them to anything they're interested in and letting them explore how far they want to take it the way to go. If they're committed to a certain number of lessons in something or a course or whatever, they have to finish it - not quit half way through. If, at the end, they don't fancy it that's fine but once committed I do make them follow through. The girls did gy
  9. I don't know what was better ... the music, the gang on the bench or the blokes at the end
  10. .... oh ... that was funny lol What about some of the old M@rkbrick threads? Was funny watching everyone get so wound up and hysterical Rakeaboot ... I was just thinking about that 'lick your head in' thread this morning ... pure class
  11. I only fancy going once in a while if I'm honest. Mostly the dogs will go out with Himself - I get the skinning and mincing job
  12. I hope not So What ... as cheap and cheerful is about all I can afford They've been on their bikes that much we now have one set of brakes not working, one puncture and one skidded out tire. We spent Friday evening having a contest skipping stones at the river. I won
  13. +1. I'd rather set my hair on fire than be that close to cows
  14. Nothing like Camo man for a good ol' eye watering laugh
  15. Where'd all Camo Man's pictures go
  16. Look for Camo Man ... and the thread about the 'focking skunk' haha
  17. My kids go to Ju Jitsu, Scouts and football. As much as you have to know the adults you entrust them to, equally you have to teach your kids from a young age about was is and is NOT ok. And teach them to trust you enough to tell you anything and never keep secrets - because that's how they get them scared enough to stay silent. Those scum bags are everywhere: schools, churches, sports ... the best defence is offence. Teach your kids to protect themselves, mentally and physically.
  18. Will it? I've talked to my kids about going into cadets when they're old enough, which is only a couple of more years. I would like them to do it - more to build character and skills, less about going to war. If they choose a career in the army, then I would support them. Choice is one thing, being forced is another. THE TRUTH IS MATE THERES NO MUCH ELSE OUT THERE AS IN CAREER WISE FOR THE YOUNG ONES TODAY GOOD LUCK TO YOUR KIDS THERE NOT FORCED INTO IT ARE THEY THEY CAN GO TO JAIL INSTEAD PROBALLY SUIT HALF OF THE LAZY WE ---- ANYWAY There is plenty out there career wise for you

  20. I don't know what was worse: his howwible voice or the naff names they gave the subjects - Mr. Ratty, seriously? How can they claim to be watching them in a natural environment when the burrows were all light up like Christmas trees? Good to see where the tv license money goes. Pissed me right off did that. Turned over to the comedy channel to keep myself from going postal lol
