  1. I personally xray'd a dog that had eaten cooked turkey carcass. You really can't imagine the mess it made - the dog died, painfully. Strange vet.
  2. My deerhound x is too big  mine isn't ... for a minute I wondered why you were posting a photo MY dog The very double!
  3. Thanks Mick That's me - before I started going to the gym
  4. There's a fair good cop series called Southland if you get bored Pete - not your typical cop drama that's for sure - ... tho it seems you'll never get bored with all the catching up you've got to do I watched all of the Wire a while ago and I proper enjoyed it
  5. Frankenwhippet If only she were as smart as she is pretty

  8. Oh and we had one called The Hillarious House of Frightenstein - starring Vincent Price I loved it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsaFDZfz8Lc
  9. Having not grown up here, I really don't know most of what you're on about. We had A Team, Dukes of Hazard, Knight Rider, The 6 Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, Batman, Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Seasame Street, Thunder Cats (hooooo), Looney Tunes. We also had one called the Friendly Giant - a big bloke in a tower who kept a talking chicken nailed to the wall in a bag
  10. Like McDonald's in a bag. Only worse.
  11. I disagree Mint, I like your perspective on the fungi. I've had these macro filter doodads for ages and I still can't work them out

  16. Mintstick those are awesome! Been playing in the hedge tonight ... here's my efforts
  17. I'm not over eager to see the back of the summer if I'm honest ... except maybe it'll bring and end to the deluge of friggin' ginny spinners we had this year. Sick of being dive bombed and watching the terrier race around the living room snapping at them (even tho he's got quite good at catching them )
  18. I'm with Birddog ... rearing two is generally a bad idea for so many reasons. Having two at once usually means they'll bond more with each than then will with you, which can make training a right pain in the back side. Raise one to a good standard, then fetch another in to learn from it
  19. Any time your dogs are on a course of antibiotics, be sure to have some live yoghurt to hand. I usually start adding it the food near the end of the course so their gut can start recovering, and feed it for up to a week post course - antibiotics often kill off all the good stuff as well as the bad. Obviously it's a must when working out colitis but it's good to use in general - stress, antibiotics etc. Mine get it once or twice a week anyway but more so when they've got anything else going on. Colitis can be a real bugger. I would deffo not bother with the script food, stick with what you
  20. My first lurcher pulled a hand-made wooden native sculpture down off my wall and chewed it into splinters. Then he chewed up my Armani glasses for pudding. I had a bowl of meat thawing on top of the cooker one day - the whippet jumped up on top of it for a nibble, knocked all the burners on and nearly burnt the house down in my absence. Had I been five minutes later coming home my house would been in flames. F-ing dogs.
