  1. ? NHS Worked all the way through, with 3 teenagers home schooling and a pup to fetch up. Kids are all feral now, but the dog is well behaved ?

    RATS

Sweet baby Jesus and all his carpenter friends ?? How sad for that poor man. Looks like a bit of fun, mind.
  3. Mate ... I feel the same. I've been waiting for a procedure since September. So many services are behind, patients waiting ages. Nobody in the NHS wants to let patients suffer, the exact opposite. We show up every day because the patients are the centre of everything we do. We're having to divert a lot of resources... it really stinks. Whichever government party you want to blame for the NHS being under funded for years, it matters not. The fact is, this is where we are. Another reason I took the jab with a feeling of hope ? There really are a lot of very sick people, among them NHS staff.
  4. Well personally, I see it every shift. I'm worried for my sick friends, I've grieved for a colleague who lost half his family in two weeks. For the countless patients I know are struggling and ill. I don't read the papers and I steer clear of the news, cause I see the reality at work. That's enough for me to know I want to be part of the solution and in my opinion the vaccines are exactly that. Sure I was sceptical at first, so I did my research. Then I queued up for the jab.
  5. What i mean Max is that there's a ton of misinformation in our faces. People convinced it's a conspiracy etc. Can't deny that. It is killing plenty of people, leaving them with life changing issues and bringing the NHS to it's knees. It needs to stop. You're well within your rights to refuse it and not be judged tho. That's ok too ?
  6. Cheers ? People are scared, I get that. Conspiracy theories abound, folks are naturally suspicious. The media are generally a shower of shit stirrers and it's hard to trust in what we're told. But this situation is awful, my colleagues have been ill, hospitalised, lost multiple family members ... I have 3 teenagers whose lives pretty much suck right now. I want it to get better, and imo the vaccine is a chance at that. I would encourage people to read up and try to understand how it works, make an informed choice for themselves ... be part of the solution. I'm fair sick of the doom
  7. We aren't being pressured at all. Most of us are getting it because we see what's happening first hand and we want it to stop. Understanding the science isn't hard if you sit down and have a look at it. Which is what I did ? Got mine on Christmas eve. Sore arm for 12 hours. That's it. Still haven't grown gills or extra limbs ? I don't generally like people on the best days and social distancing is one of my super powers, but even I'm feeling the mental stress off all this, never mind what's happening in the hospitals. If taking the jab gives us a chance then I'm happy to roll up my s
  8. One of my favourite things to do when I get sick of people ? I mooch up a hill in the dark with my pal, and wait for the sun to show up. Sorts me - and him -out every time ?10 mins from home.
  9. Been on annual leave this week, and clocked up 44 miles on foot ? Staying local isn't always boring ?
  10. Cheers ? Almost forgot to add this little beauty...weird how friendly they are.
  11. Another stoopid-o'clock get up in -6 temps yesterday, climbed up Longridge Fell for the sunrise. One of my favourite things to do ? Phone is a Samsung S10 ?
  12. Just a couple more ? The light this time of year makes the uphill climbs worth it, but only just!
  13. More local scenes in Lancashire today. The snowmen aren't mine ?
  14. ? Oh. Sorry. I came in here thinking I wouldn't trip over knuckle grooves in the floor. Dick.
  15. One of my favourite places to wander, Forest of Bowland ?
