  1. Never sat down and worked it out , 2 domestic jobs today on opposite sides of the road . one had 8 traps down , first check caught 3 moles . The one opposite only 4 traps but caught 2 moles .It would be a task to work the average out over a year never mind a lifetime..
  2. Yes definately all i use , (but for foxes No3 steel gamebore).
  3. Second that , never had any issues with Solway feeders , plus they have a youtube vid for almost everything they supply.

  11. have a look at fourteenarce website https://www.fourteenacre.co.uk I've had some off there before and am only after another 20 or so , but they've been out of stock for ages , it seams . Also gave Woodga a pm to see if he could help , but no answer yet; i know he's a busy man and patience is one virtue i do have. I'll get some from one or the other at some stage.

  14. Earth-thrower i dont know if its my eyes but in the pic showing the wooden barrel trap (last pic) what is the dohnut shaped object? Is it an improvised mumble pin of some-sort you've used? Aye, its the 'trigger'. Ive heard it referred too, as a, "roundy peg" ? Ahh thats interesting mate, never heard of using a round peg i thought it was just a Y shaped peg you used. Ive been after a homemade barrel trap/ gas pipe type for a while. ive tried to make them but failed.if anyone has any or knows someone who i contact could contact to buy some i'd be very grateful if they could drop me a pm.
  15. The lads i Know in Kings Lynn get £2 for clean rabbits in their jackets , i paid them £2. 50. because they were dropped off at Wansford . Them boys at Lynn have land what most of us can only dream off. Sounds like i need to change who i sell them to , it's only 30 odd miles away from me. Thanks for the heads up.
  16. Only ever use traplines in public places where i need to hide my traps from prying eyes . definately not my first go to trap . The half barrel duffus all day every day and then the Talpex.
  17. Very interesting mate , thanks for taking the time to put down all your findings, happy hunting
  18. Great price , i still only get a £1 in their jackets.
  19. Agree with most others , definately a .22 lr , you'll keep in your arsenal for life whatever else you eventually get . Not just a great bunnie gun, but more than adequate for foxes upto 60-ish yards as well.
  20. Welcome mate , i use my M2 alot more than my silver Pigeon. If you've a good semi-auto stick with it.
  21. Nice one mate , don't think you've got to much to worry about , best to get in practice before the walking dead take over.
  22. I think it depends on where you are and how much work they have on . A mate off mine in Essex waited over a year for his first FAC. Although it was some time ago now , , when i applied for an open variation on my license , i had it back within 5 days!!! I know your not talking about a fac , but they all come from the same place, good luck m ate and i hope it hits your doormat soon.
  23. I've had some success with a monarch cage trap , but only multiple catches are young rats.
  24. Yes mate , that's basically how they work . On the screen the position of your trap is marked as a flag. They do , however not direct you to its exact position , but very close . I only use one on a 3000acre estate i trap , but the traps are still visibly marked above ground.I use this here because of the vast area and the fact that the traps are regularly moved.
