Thanks very much for all your kind thoughts , very much appreciated.

Nice , you can never have too many ...

I'm sure he's smiling....

Thanks mate , yes no matter how old and grizzled we get , a loss is always sad . Not a bad age for a little girl , who'd had her problems . The others seam lost without her .
-
Let's hope it's busy , personally i could do with it.
-
I lost a small jill last night . The others as usual came bounding out off the hutch into the run when i went to clear them out . Poor little Willow was curled up in the hay in the sleeping compartment , stiff as a board . it looks like she had died in her sleep , no marks or obvious signs on her . She was about 6 and suffered a stroke well over 4 years ago which restricted her mobility slightly. Bless her , sleep well little one. .

Well done mate , plus like your well informed answer , what's you first go to fox rifle . I must admit i've been using the .22lr with 42 grain subs more and more and calling them in.

Traps cleared up from the Telly chef , he had to tell me one last time , that he was not happy with the service i had given and he was sure i was feeding the moles , what a dick.... If you work in North Norfolk and get asked by a chef to trap at his hotel , Pm me first to clarify if it's him or not . Sent him my invoice and he has point blank refused to pay . Before me it was a national company , apparently he treated them the same . I'm too old grumpy to put up with idiots , . Next customer please,

Spot on , have started a job for a well known chief , he is often on the telly , but tomorrow i'm off to clear my traps up from his stately pile and walk away and take the loss . Basically i'm sick of his sarky comments each time i turn up .

Hi Mate , as i said if you can get to the East Anglian game fair this weekend at Euston Park , Cambs ferret welfare and rescue will be there . They won't let you take away ferrets on the day , well not usually ; but if you contact them in advance i'm sure they can help . I've had 5 ferrets off them now , various ages , but the oldest was only just 2 . They have all and do work for a living... The club are a great bunch and hardly charge for the ferrets as they are a charity. good luck mate, i'm sure your 4 year old would love a day out at a game fair....

Spending To Much On This Sport!
Rowan replied to David.evans's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Nice one , i bought my silver pigeon in 1995 for £675 brand new !!!, still love it... -
So if he charges buy the mole at £10 each ? that's 80k a year , not bad that , nearly a decent wage.

Killgerms manual , it will always be a good point of referance.

Pro Pest Control Suppliers/manufacturers
Rowan replied to a topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I've tried em all , it's best just to keep an eye out for deals . However 90+% of what i buy comes from Killgerm , yes the af boxes are not cheap , but i do like them , the atom box is considerably cheaper . Killgerm do offer great customer service and the rep is always there for help and advice . Beware though , it's best to buy the best you can once . You don't need to buy loads of gear to start with , just what you need as the jobs come in. most suppliers do next day delivery . A good way to start would be to either have a hefty bank balance or find a part-time job to do as well. -
I started with the 22 rimfire on Monday with my archer night vision when it got dark. But where i was parked in the field i could see rabbits spread over the field and so on Tue,Wed and Thursday i used the 17hmr just for a bit more range. All i was doing was thinning them out.If i could not get a more or less certain headshot i was going for a upper chest shot as i was taking them home.I prefer not to gut shoot them as too much of a mess when gutting them. Nice to have both , they both have their place . Well done again.....

Definately synthetic, with a wood stock you'll worry about every mark it gets on it , plus whatever gun oil you use will effect a wooden stock. As for which calibre , that could rage on forever , but for me its .22.
-
Well done mate , what set up did you use?
-
Same place as you mate , i guess you mean a well known pest control product supplier.

I presume you cut the barrel. Did it affect the balance a lot? Can't use a silencer for hunting in France. No mate , didn't cut the barrel , 16" is how it came from Cz , this was the shortest they did , a great length for shooting from inside the Landy. The 452's available online in France are all full length (nearly 25"). Not allowed to shoot from a vehicle unless you're disabled - they can confiscate your car! So no mods and confiscation of the vehicle if you shoot off it, i think i will stay here, the backward onion eating f***wits. Oh and get the cz, much bett

look great mate , well done.
