  1. No i meant , i've given it all to him. I'll have to start all over again in Sutherland.
  2. I'm not sure where to post this , but have put it here as it's the section i visit most. I'm finally relocating to Sutherland after alot of thought , giving up my business and customers here has been harder to do than i thought it would be. All the business has gone to another local pest controller , so i just have to start from scratch all over again. Unless , i can find someone to sub for or buy some business from, who knows? Friday's the big day , then it's off to the Highlands.
  3. If that happens , maybe once a year , i charge a max of 4 extra visits and then make it a matter off pride to catch it.
  4. Trapping's better than old wives tales .
  5. Just as i thought then , i must admit in a loft , i would generally use a WCS tube trap for rats , find it's safer if the house holder decides they want to see if the rat's caught yet , less danger off then getting their fingers where they really don't want to be.
  6. I maybe wrong , but i though even in a loft a fenn needs to be set inside a tunnel , artificial or otherwise . Just what i've always practiced would be nice to know for sure.
  7. I've a charge for the first 4 visits and then extra for each visit thereafter , been caught too many times.
  8. just get abit of veg tan leather off flebay and glue it to abit of mdf or ply job done that simple , great , i've got a piece of veg tanned kangaroo hide from my falconry days . Thanks..

  11. Clivertons every time mate , plus there in norfolk , looks like you are there as well . I see that Clivertons are now advertising, got their flyer through with the latest edition of "Pest Magazine" Nice to have a company that understands the pest control industry and what's involved. And as long a not making a claim, much cheaper than the well known ones Yes mate , great company , i've been into their office several times and seen the guys and girls , they really do know what their talking about and understand the industry.

  13. As long as you don't have to travel too far every day to check them , diesel prices can be a killer.
  14. He's lucky .......or just controls em very well .
  15. Just bought 500 , .22 eley subs £62 odd pence , still cheap if you ask me . 12p a round can't go wrong.
  16. My advice , get a mole catcher in and not a catcher of moles...
  17. You maybe able to catch a few and keep him happy enough , can't think that anyone of a decent nature called in to catch the moles for work ..., would try and take your permission . It took me a good year following an owld buye around who had 40+years experience to learn enough to start making a living from it . that was 32 years ago and i'm still getting the hang of it .
  18. .22 lr , definately would suit your needs , i guess ? I use 42 grain subsonic hollowpoints .
  19. Well done , a very underated round for fox control .
  20. Slow start , but it's very early in the season , bring on the warm days and then we're away..
  21. XL8 , DR5 , Ficam D and a golf ball . Oh and occasionally a blow through with a compressor , keeps everything flowing nicely.
  22. I do like the comment she makes , regarding the franchisees getting ongoing training with the latest techniques . Which are , What !!! She will make some money and then move onto the next thing , window cleaning perhaps .
  23. Just recently i have been to two seperate jobs after this lady has been there , the first one she asked for £175 up front to cover the cost off setting traps . The second job she had told the people the first mole was only !!!! £ and any further moles caught where only!!! £50 each . Good work if you can get it.
