  1. Poor old farmers, they fail to realise we have bills to pay as well.
  2. There's always a farmer wants it done for nothing. I set some traps on two fields on monday , went to tell the farmer how many traps/ when i'd be back etc. He said i've got another 9 acre field that's covered in mole hills , will you throw that one in for nothing? I said no , i agreed a price for two fields . His answer was , well don't bother at all then. Collected my traps and blocked his phone numbers, pratt cost me nearly 3 hours!
  3. Really stuffed their nest box with hay , they've made a hole/ nest in it . I try not to disturb them too much either.

  6. Not sure how good they are , but you can get plenty of mk4 Fenns for that money .Yes i know you have to check them more , but who doesn't like finding a dead rat?

  8. Well done mate , nice to see . I struggle to believe the 6 shots though , something went slightly wrong there ! I've shot several foxes at sub 65yrds with a .22lr , that have dropped on the spot , a handy tool in my opinion as is the .17 There is a correct tool for every occasion though.
  9. Nice one mate , can't knock you for trying. i do use ply boxes with mk4's , but i generally use colins cage cubbys not sure how he makes them so cheap . I have had alot of success with them .( Colins Traps).

  13. Well done mate , i forgot what it's like to not have a permission , but know i've moved , i've had to start asking. Yesterday , just got my first yes on a small croft two fields away from me , happy days.

  15. Great court mate , a credit to ya. I have used hessian before , most builders merchants sell this on a roll ,( for covering up fresh brickwork),to keep the rain or frost off.

  19. The move went well , just no T.V . , no internet and no telephone , but the scenery is incredible . I guess i'll have to have a week or two off until it's all sorted and then I can hopefully pick up some work. Good old library internet service . So far , I love it here .
  20. On the coast , north of Inverness. Really is a stunning area , just need a job or two, , when i get there . ( well after a couple of weeks sorting myself out). Used to do a lot of lamping around dornoch golspie etc,always used to get permission fairly easily,good luck with the move.Thanks , i'll be in Brora , 2 miles or so from Golspie . Great chip shop in golspie , the best fish supper .make sure he lets the fish drain of cooking oil before he serves it to you,I sometimes stayed above the chippy in Golspie the lad who owned it was called roger,it's his son who has it now,last time i was the

Just the wife now , dog, ferrets etc. I've thought about it for years and decided there's never a good time to completely change your life , infact you can come up with a book full of reasons why not to move. Just feel it's now or never . The slightly worrying bit is finding work from scratch , but i have a real passion for pest control and love that way of life . Yes , the new house has a decent sized wood burner , plus we will be two fields away from a distillery .
