  1. surely if the scope has got damp in it ? then your have to have it regased ? as it will just get in again
  2. muppets had a guy like that once come up to my brother asking what he was doing over the farm with a rifle ? i come over as it my permission and asked what the problem was. he then said what where we doing on there shooting ! i asked him what was it to him and that i had permission to shoot over here and if he didnt mind sticking to the footpaths and not walking all over land that didnt belong to him. you should have seen his face he said i he had more right to be there then me yet i had permission off farmer and he was just a walker not sticking to paths or anything. and best bit was wwh
  3. hi mate a scope mounted lightforce 170. but my mate has put a hood on the front of it as you seam to lose alot of beam from round the side of the lamp. he uses his own orange film filters to. bit thinner then the lightforce filters so let more light trough. but still not as bright as having no filter
  4. went over to my mate jontys last night for abit of foxing. as some of the fields have been cut there should be lots about. any how 1st field turned the lamp on with out calling and there was a young fox ! jonty called him in and the 222 done the rest. this years cub by the look of it a little dog fox. head shot as he was in long grass on the border of the field. here is a pic anyay we moved up field and see a fox but he wasnt hanging about so we had a call on a horse jump but nothing come into call. lots of rabbits running about so had one with the 22/250 but dont like wasteing bullet
  5. I don't know from which source you get your sales figures on 222, but as an RFD, I have not sold a 222 for 8 years now, I have however sold a large number of 223's. Secondly, I did not say that there was anything wrong with the 222. Thirdly, as I said, there is a far better selection of ammunition for the 223, which in itself is a good reason to buy a 223 rather than a 222. UMC for example list 4 loads for the 223 and none for the 222, Remington list 3 for the 222 and 13 for the 223, Lapua list only one 222, and that's a FMJ. Winchester list 1 for the 222 and 7 for the 223, need I go on?
  6. well i hope your wearing something to protect your ears. because you keep using that 22/250 with out some ear potection and your hearing is going to suffer. its a horrid noise to hear with out mod. and one of the loudest rifles to hear with out mod. due to the high speed. i found with a mod on my grouping was better due to less flip at muzzle
  7. cz for the 22lr dont go for semi auto 22lr's to many problems with them inless you spend money to upgrade them. as for 222 there is nothing wrong with them they are not as popular as 223 but still not dieing out trust me. my mate has a sako 222 and its a superb foxing rifle. if your getting 243 tho for deer then why bother with 22 centrefire. surely your flo if he lets you have 243 will let you have fox condition on it. that way money from the 222 could buy you a top scope for the 243.
  8. the maximum range is the one you no you can get a clean kill at. ie.. if you set a target up try it at 30 yards then go out to 40 and see how well you group. if it isnt as well then you have gone past your maximu range
  9. keep it up mate. nice feeling when you get the 1st one out the way
  10. ive had a annie hmr off local and he is a top lad. this rifle is a bargain.
  11. That's what I thought but it was worth asking! Thanks guys 222 is a nice cal mate and good to load for. very accurate
  12. I agree , but fek , £4.50 postage !!! come on , pull the other one , and £20 for a less than an hour footage . I`m all for reasonable prices , but that aint reasonable . quite simple mate , he aint giving it for free and your too much of a cheapskate ,.........dont buy it and stop moaning No mate , you got it all wrong . I would rather go and shoot em me self , and if i video`d it , i just do a few copies for the lads . But then , im not in it to make money ..................... well go make your own then and stop moaning

  17. try find some winvhester silver tips there fast as feck
  18. you can use them at minsterley range as i have used them. but on the proper target ranges im not sure. as i dont target shoot. besides the 22/250 is over most range fps limits
  19. the jewell is a superb trigger i got one on my 22/250 winchester. set at 1lb but i have different springs for it to. incase i want it lighter. i would never go lighter then that on hunting rifle. if your benchrest target shooting then its ok. but hunting its abit dangerous
  20. 50 or 55 grains will go well. look at federal ammo and privi as there pretty cheap as ong as your rifle likes them. trouble is its trail and error you have to find what suites yours rifle. sako sp worth a try tho
  21. come on lads do you no the time put in to make one. all shooting dvd's on the market are over £20 nowadays and you got to make something off making them otherwise what is the point
