  1. both top rifles remmy has alot of aftermarket parts for them and a good action for a blueprint and custom barrel in future
  2. cz are a good start or if you want something more up market look at the sako and annie rifles
  3. are you turning the lock off screw before you charge so that the rifle is getting the air and its not coming out the pump
  4. hi jack i have had a number of mods for the hmr sak was the cheapest and well it wasnt far off the others in my eyes i didnt like it, not built as well and leaked at the joints when hmr was shot. i had a whisper, best looking of the lot but no better then the sak if im honest on sound report. i got my hands on the new dm80 mod very well built and again better then the sak but i didnt keep it because i like the old dm80 better. thats the one in the picture. its bigger but sits back over the barrel pretty far so is good balance on the annie hmr. its the best sound wise but that b
  5. had a 3x12x44 on my fac air rifle. good mixture of zoom and then turn it right down for close range stuff like rats.
  6. 177 all the way in standard form. 22 in fac. in standard form i think 22 is to loopy. where as 177 is nice and flat. also as long as you hit the head 177 is more then you need up to 40 yards at anything rabbit, rat, pigeon, crows
  7. I've seen the KG-12 bore cleaner but never used it, IIRC it's expensive and ammonia free (like Hoppe's Elite copper terminator) I did try Butch's bore shine but found it to be no so good, Barnes CR-10 is better but again expensive and not as fast as Tetra. I hate using brushes in my rifle bores, so I have tried to find products that specifically omit "brush" in the instructions. I tried Robla Solo MIL in one of the shotgun barrels, not as good as tetra! but it's the rifles I'm more worried about. John get the kg12 off ebay thats where i got mine. its free post to so that saves money
  8. have you tryed the kg range hunterzero i use this on my 22/250 after a mate told me it was very good and it soon cleans the barrel. butchers bore shine it pretty good but messy
  9. yes its cracking lad and i have 150 acres just up over the otherside of the wood. so will do them all. if we can get the bit between the wood it all links up then.
  10. went out last night on some new permission that a friend of mine got. as he hasnt got rimfire or centrefire at moment he wanted a hand. the farm is around 350 acres but if we do a good job will lead to a total of 2000 acres. the place hasnt been shot with rifles properly since the 40's ! saw two big fox earths on the land and last night in total 10 foxes. shot 2 with hmr this years cubs and then clearned up some rabbits. had 10. looking forward to going back there with other foxes and i should have my 22/250 set back up then. my mates 13 year old lad come o and it was nice to see how inter

  14. yes air arms pellets are very good in them also try jsb's mind jsb make the air arms brand pellets
  15. your a :wankerzo4: took the words out my mouth mate
  16. depends what you want it for mate. ie what style of shooting you do. a lot of high power mag scopes get used alot in field target shooting. if you doing rabbit and bird control then the scope you have is more then good enough i had the scope john darling had shame he is no longer with us as his write ups where good to read. that scope and the simmons are still goood scopes and more then you need for air rifle ranges imo. mildot is good if you learn the different ranges for the dots it will save hold over when shooting. im not a fan of mildots myself they put me off
  17. if i where boar and deer shooting i would have a fixed mag 8x50 or 8x56.
  18. synthetic easy to keep clean, dont mark and take knocks like wood. and best of all dont expand and contract like wood so less chance of poi change
  19. if thats the case jay you wont be able to have deer on 17 rem but will on 223
  20. one thing i would point out is dont just tell explan the rounds you have used in the 243 have all been shooting at what its granted for. not just at range and so on. i told my flo that i well i hadnt used as much as he would have liked me to. i said that all the rounds i had fired was on fox and vermin as it says on my ticket. 300 rounds for that is alot better then 1000's of rounds at targets !
  21. try new battery and if no good phone the dealer you got it off and then arange to send it back for replacment or refund
