Agree with you on Bellingham, he has the makings of a hell of a player. And my ‘bottle jobs’ comment was probably a bit harsh but, whether it be individual performances or Southgate’s cautious approach, England’s big names failed to leave their mark on the tournament. I don’t even enjoy ramming failure down the throats of the average England fan (excepting maybe the 10 German bombers/boo your national anthem mob) it’s the relentless bullshit from media, with ex-players being the worst. The link below is just one example of the p!sh I am fed up paying to listen to.., a bit of humble pie wi

Attended by multi millionaire and former Labour PM Tony Blair no less. I’d imagine Keir Hardie will have turned in his grave.

Thread about the national team but change it to the league if you want. The EPL is the biggest financially.., granted, but still Bellingham opted for Spain.., CR7 went there as soon as he could.., Messi wouldn’t come to England. Real Madrid have as many EC’s as English teams combined. As for the football, I pretty much stopped watching 4 or 5 years ago.., all these risk averse tactical attritions are boring affairs for the spectator, I’d rather watch lower league or Scottish football. And as for the players, all I hear from the English media is how this might be the most talented squad ever…,

Scotland were poor.., well beaten by Germany, drew with the Swiss (you’ll remember them as you needed penalties to beat them) and sucker punched by Hungary chasing a winner. That’s about our level. England on the other hand went in as favourites, were poor in the group stage, handed a very easy run to the final versus the other half of the draw, and were lucky to get to the final with a last minute equaliser and surviving penalties. I think the only half decent performance was against a poor dutch team. Thin line my arse, England were fcuking abject this tournament.., this thread is ful

The gluttony on display at these all-inclusive hotels has to be seen to be believed.., it’s like something out of an Orwell novel. As you say the kids are the worst…, breakfast lunch and dinner, plates piles high with cakes, pancakes, waffles and doughnuts drowning in chocolate sauce and ice cream. And the waste is downright immoral.

Think you’ll find that it’s you that’s being bred out your own country. Even a team half full of immigrants couldn’t bring it home. Didn’t you flee England?

Thread about the Euros and you started the hate on the Scots. I hope you’re f***ing sick for weeks with this failure. For the record I’d don’t hate or dislike English folks, some of my favourite and most loved people on this planet are English. I just love seeing the arrogant entitled ones getting their comeuppance. Of all the large European nations, England are the biggest hype-jobs and bottle merchants by a country mile. One world cup where every game you played was at Wembley. Contrast that with the wins in major tournaments of Germany (8), Italy (6), France (4), Spain (5). Seria

Shot your bolt a bit early. England got an easy ride and rode a lot of luck to get to the final. Definitely nowhere near even the second best team in the competition.

Demolition job. Hopefully the first part of the Spanish double.

I’d guess that elite level women’s sport there’ll be a disproportionately large amount of gay women.., and conversely smaller proportion of gay men at the top of men’s sport. In general: Gay boys = not much interested/sh!t at sports Gay girls = hell bent on ‘competing’ with men/better than straight women at sport I care not one iota about whether a sportsperson is gay or straight, only that the best man/woman wins. And as long as some sneaky fcuker of a man doesn’t don a skirt, change their name and think they can line up with girls.

Couple of lads out fishing in any inner city always going to run the risk of running into a pack of delinquents.., the fact that this one is an immigrant only makes it a double whammy on the annoyance scale. It’s a hard watch but much less damaging than a gang of Eastern Europeans knocking everything on the head and taking away carrier bags full of mature fish off a decent bit of water and ruining the fishing potentially for years to come. I’d make it illegal to kill and take any coarse fish in the UK, and strictly licence the taking of wild game fish. Imagine if the law went after these envir

Apparently the colour of people’s skin matters to some…, but they’re not racist. I’m confused.

England were awful. So much attacking talent and they sat off the Swiss like they were Brazil. Switzerland the better team over 120 minutes for me. England at least look like they’ve got a team of penalty takers…, and I reckon they’re going to need them.

Your post struck a chord with me. I’ve been doing the same(ish) type of job for nearly 20 years. Guys I worked with years ago (mostly dead and a few retired) probably forgot more about the job than some of the fcuking idiots I work with now. I’m 52 and I know it’s my job to be a bit grumpy and moan about how things were always better in ‘ the good old days’ but recently I’ve realised that I’m actually fcuking miserable. Problem is I’m earning a lot more than I think I could if I moved on, and at my age it’s a bit of a daunting thought. Feels like a bit of a crossroads and I’m sort of in the pr

Sadly the man managers, the ones who could incentivise men and gain their respect, are much thinner on the ground nowadays.

Saw a bit of this earlier and thought it was tasteless…, as was the reporting of it. TV presenters smirking as if this was somehow justified.., and in the same breath commending the grace with which both victory and defeat were handled by the incoming and outgoing parties. Reform got a significant % of the popular vote, and whether you agree or disagree with their politics they deserve the same respect as any other in a democratic vote.
-
No Reform then the tories would have been re-elected. Farage has done what he set out to do, whether they won 5 or 25 seats. Unless the conservative party realign policy to placate and retrieve the Reform voters then it’ll be Labour for many more terms to come. I think they inevitably will, but whether they’ll sort their sh!t out in the next 4/5 years is the question.., and will determine how bad things get.

Always found if you’re decent with people and willing to come and go a bit, giving lads a flier or two when they need it or when it’s quiet, and are always accommodating wherever possible if they have personal issues/appointments etc. that the decent ones will come through for you when you need them. There’s always one or two who want to abuse that trust and privilege, so I’d look to get rid asap. Decent lads don’t like the piss takers any more than the gaffer in that respect, as it just fcuks it up for everyone. Some managers think that all that’s needed is a rod and no carrot…, they’re the o

Favourite scene from the film…

Men and women…, or whatever they’re calling themselves this week, walking naked through the streets of Toronto in a gay pride parade. We’re expected to fall into line and accept or even celebrate these people and so make this an acceptable norm. I’m sorry, but I can’t and won’t. It’s not the society I grew up in nor one I ever want to live in. It feels (literally) like the emperor’s new clothes, where we can all see what’s going on but are afraid to say it for fear of repercussion. Get these weirdos off the streets. x.com X.COM

If you like a Guinness and haven’t tried the nitrosurge, then make it a priority. Recommend cans in the fridge all day, and put a Guinness pint tumbler in the freezer. Makes a pretty decent pint.
