  1. A third Mac? Were you chasing "the" gun,as most of us have only to realise you had it in your hands to begin with!
  2. This is probably my next rifle as well, would like a springer again,do you tune them as soon as they arrive or put a tin of pellets through them first,I've never tuned a gun just shoot them as they are and just wondering how long people give them before playing with them??
  3. From what I can gather using google he is called Dave Hall and on airgun BBS as wonky donky,an interesting name that and made me curious so had a quick scan but that's all I found...
  4. Well your patience has paid off now,all that's left is to shoot the dirty buggers!
  5. Good mornings ferreting that, well into double figures is good for leicester, that's where I am as well, not seen big bags for a few seasons now...
  6. Sounds a good day out and nice to see the dogs working, funny the first thing I spotted in the pic was the kilt!
  7. Good thread this, and good pics, numbers don't always matter as long as we get out and bag something we are usually happy, you can't catch what isn't there after all! If you are enjoying what you're doing then that's the main thing...
  8. Looks a nice morning out,I love walking my dogs in the snow they do some funny things, its like it confuses them somehow every time,oh and I reckon beddy whippet on the dog...
  9. Unfortunately not I never remember to take any,I'm a fan of photos myself, think they really add something to a narrative, when I next get out I must try to get some so I can stick them on the write up...
  10. Its bad enough when I whip my hat off and I've got a bit of hair still hanging around! Hopefully his fur grows back pretty quick!!
  11. Sometimes it seems the better idea to stay inside and be warm, but you want that shot you got to be out! Did you have to wait around long for one to show? And sounds like you are enjoying that tx200...
  12. I use the term "rough" incorrectly really,I call what you described a walked up day, what we do is a driven day but fairly informal as pegs aren't drawn and everything is decided on the day amongst the couple of guys who organise it not one gamekeeper,so I probably gave the wrong idea sorry, just my incorrect terminology causing confusion!!
  13. im a fairly confident guy as far as my shooting abilities go and i relish a hard /long shot BUT for some reason or other i was spotting them 35-40 yds and on a normal day i would take the shot on -i wanted to get closer but in doing so scared a few away -hopefully i can just get back to "spot""- scope on -and squeeze trigger as this is what ive been successfully doing all my hunting life!-billy If it ain't broke and all that, stick to your method if it produces then keep at it,confidence is key usually so whatever you're happy with...
  14. Fair numbers there,so how did you make it hard work??
  15. It came on the rifle,I bought it used,on the website the hw100 cylinder is £150 not sure on any others, there is a s200 pictured on the site,I'd call to find out for your requirements they are very friendly and helpful...
  16. No work? What do you do? Put a shift in!! Well done...
  17. You remember the harder sessions when you've had to crawl around and stuff, its a bit annoying when you can't get near anything though but we take the rough with the smooth...
  18. Its worth going for any size bag, sometimes it's just nice to get out,you did well if only a few landed in range, that's a nice looking gun as well,on my shortlist for a next purchase and possibly just about edging it...
  19. Nice bit of kit! As to selling it......................don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. It is nice to hear such things, the little companies doing so much to help, they thoroughly deserve the good reputations they have, now your happy the problem, nothing to do with them,is solved and they get some good advertising which hopefully pulls in some custom...
  21. I am also looking at getting a springer to go with my pcp, hopefully in the next few months or so,and my shortlist has both those on it,I had a 97 a few years ago and should have kept it but hey ho my mistake! It was fantastic and really has never been replaced,my shooting buddy had a tx200 for years and was also very good,my advice is go and handle them and get a few shots off and see which you prefer, that's what I'll be doing and whichever you leave the shop with will no doubt be a quality rifle that's a joy to use,I don't think you will regret either but ultimately only you can decide for yo
