  2. Good pics,I thought the same about the ferret, looks like it's been stuck in,and the dogs clean as a whistle! And the game carrier seems popular doesn't anyone use a ruck sack anymore?
  3. Agree with the being out comments, sometimes it's nice just to see the fields and wildlife, anything is worth out going for,and it feeds the ferrets and you!
  4. Looks a good day in a nice place, good to see dog working well and nice pics to go with a good read, and as for missing a bolt hole it wouldn't be a proper day without doing that!!
  5. Oh and in terms of grouping I zero at around 30 yards and all the pellets touch so not too bad,I can still get them touching out to 35 or so then aim accordingly at 40 or more...
  6. I use these in my hw100 and I have taken rabbit past 40 yards a few times and fifty yards on occasion so defo recommend them...

  11. Sounds like its there now, next time when you're check list is done you could be baggin real ones! You are going to enjoy those first few after the effort and time you put into this experiment, good luck with it,most of us would probably have jacked by now...
  12. I'd rather be thought mad and out shooting than mad about being in not shooting! I've really got to get out soon!!
  13. Its been interesting reading about you lads getting used to your nv, I can imagine the cursing and such after all these near misses! But you're certainly trying to crack it and I applaud your perseverance and I'm sure you will get there and reap the benefits, its a refreshing, honest account of a nights shooting, keep the updates coming...
  14. Good result for a quick outing.
  15. Just one is defo a hard choice! Kind of what made me ask,I would probably have a 97k,that's the one I should of kept,I thought the list would be pretty much all rapid and hw97k,but there's a fair mix, makes you regret getting rid of that certain rifle all over again when you get asked "which one?"...
  16. Thought as much but thought it worth raising the question,if nothing else you get some peace of mind by asking those who have done the things you plan, looking forward to having the option of a sling and bipod again, don't know why I've waited this long really...
  17. Sodding typical! Hardly been out all season now I've got the time and opportunity and everywhere seems to be full of young,we usually stop once we find a nest of pinkies though and my next trip out wil probably be the last til next season now!

  19. As title in regards to an air rifle,if you could only have one which would it be? Out of everything, one you currently own, have owned or dream of owning, just for the sake of asking...

  21. Hi all am about to purchase the front qd direct replacement front stud that screws into the barrel band and was wondering, can doing this affect accuracy? By the sling pulling on the band in turn pulling on the barrel? Or is that a bit of a myth,I read up on them and that was a point someone raised so thought I'd get some opinions...
  22. You said it yourself, inevitable, they are a tool after all! But if you have resale value in the back of your mind then best to err on the side of caution I suppose!
  23. Put a few tins through before you think of touching it, often they will just settle and not need touching. Bear in mind that if you strip a new gun you may nullify the warranty. I most likely won't do anything to it ever, unless eventually something needs to be done, was just curious how long people with the tinkering urge can resist before the tools come out!
