I`m walking or shooting my grounds 7 days a week - all year through. Grub`s Eskline 8.5 - on my 4th season and going strong £80- I think I paid, - very warm and comfortable. Best Gun boots I`ve ever owned - recommended lads

Ditto to Davy, I shoot the TX as you know lads but in .177 and Rat Works tuned and a heavy gun. I bought another FWB 127 (.22) a lighter gun and I had to get used to her again over time. Then I bought a rare FWB 124 ( .177) and a much more pronounced shot cycle - I gave myself time to get used and you have seen the results. Buy that .177 HW 95 Mitch - it`s the better calibre, as you know.

I`m going to keep this very short lads, - We all seek the best, we can/think of at sub 12 ft/lbs - " be honest" don`t we ? I`m looking to finish off the cabinet I keep with a spring rifle - very open to opinions lads - with a laugh as well - twats. I have put a question to an extremely well respected air rifle tuner -" which rifle ???? name, do you consider the best tuned hunting rifle in .177 that you tune " ? whether stage 1 or stage 101 - which rifle / calibre ? please ? I`ve asked ? Before he answers, which sprin

JSB .177 heavy pellet users
mark williams replied to Furrosious ferreter's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Thank you for your kind offer Jimmy I just love the trajectory of the .22 Falcons Mitch put me onto in .22 cal and hitting slam hard at 13.43 g/ 622 ft/s - that`s as heavy as I`ll get with my style of shooting, threading through spindle branches for wood pigeons at the moment. I can imagine the heavier pellets do a fine job though on the rabbits etc, etc. FF, In .177 I always use JSB Diablo Exact Express 7.87 g, again from a good nudge from Mitch a good two years back and used ever since in all my .177 rifles bar my 100 which is on AA Fi -
Nice shooting Matt. Compliments to you

JSB .177 heavy pellet users

Hi FF, I can`t speak for heavy pellets but for an average .177 pellet ( 8.4 g ? ) I zero at 38 yds. From approx` 9.7 yds to 38.3 yds the pellet stays within a one inch kill zone in it`s flight and will hit bulls eye/ dead centre, at 16 yds and 35 yds . A good rule of thumb to work with plus, I too, rarely shoot further than 40 yds. Hope this helps any -
Friday pay day,- building game. Went for a Friday Chinese and I gave the new apprentice the dinner list, Usual shit. Chips, rice and curry. Singapore chow mein. Beef curry - extra hot with fried rice. You know the score lads, but what I did add to the list was this A " Foo King Special" The Chinese shop owner came out from the cooking area and at the front of a full shop and shouted - " We no do fooking Specials" ! - my apprentice shouted ,- " You do, my boss

Not for me Moxy but plenty for others, I`m sure. -
Brocock skeleton stock - was it the Brocock elite super 6 ? The accuracy obtainable from these is astounding Mickey right out to 50 yds if required. Only 28 shots though on a 180 bar sweet spot. A favourite for ratting work is the good old BSA Ultra SE. Good luck with your choices

Well I went as I said lads, One air rifle stall out of loads of militia stalls. - Tim Dyson`s. There were a couple of mk2 Air Sporters in pristine condition but in .22 and these only ever got to around 8-9 ft/lbs tops, so not really ideal for classic hunting . £185 each. One rifle did catch my eye though and that was a Paul Storey tuned HW eighty in .177. Sadly it was in a rather worn condition and £ 385 - no thanks. So then I had a quick mooch around the other stalls and one thing "astounded me" - I picke

So the same results , virtually, Matt, with those two pellets. Do try again on the accuracy between the two, in a breeze mate and check which pellet is least affected Happy testing

HW 100 KS .22 HW 100 KT .177 Falcon Accuracy Plus = 622 fps Air Arms Fields = 787 fps 13.43 g 8.4 g = 11.54 ft/lbs and superb accuracy. = 11.56 ft/lbs and superb accuracy

Hi Matt, Good post mate. The bit that matters above all else, especially at sub 12 ft/lbs,- " accuracy always trumps power" - period ! I would pick the most accurate Matt and forget such little difference in power at our ranges. Good luck !
