Scope question
mark williams replied to big napper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Yes mate, another good point for our pcp lads on this topic is to keep your rifles under good pressure in between outings to keep the seals under pressure in storage is far better for your rifle " than not" . I top mine up to full pressure after each and every outing, same pellet choice and never ever clean that beautifully leaded barrel " ever" ! If the rifle stays " constant" then the scope / mounts are to blame Good luck BN, - hoped it helped any -
Scope question

Sorry mate, seals working, then not working, - not at all uncommon, so the air pressure behind the pellet varies according to the gun`s seals, - just a service and change of seals mate, - at a guess ? One of my mates had a very similar scenario down the club, - " remember"- a guess that it`s the same problem ? -

How to work out killing distance
mark williams replied to Gtbaker369's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Well here we go again, Mark and Phil have the craic and have a bet on a shoot out £££ Mark has a 12 ft/lb rifle. Phil has an air cannon doing 50 ft/lbs Mark takes 5 shots at the bull at 35 yds and scores a perfect 50 points. Phil also takes 5 shots at bull and also scores a perfect 50 points. SO ! 50 yds it is then ! Same happens again at 50 yds ! Had the air cannon m -
How to work out killing distance

Hi GT, I`ve always been a strong believer in " Accuracy trumps power" period ! I practice on paper a lot and will practice on walks also - I`ll go through a tin a week practicing in the summer months, easily, but I always practice at what I consider air rifle ranges, - never beyond . The greatest test in air gun hunting is concealment and getting within range, as said, a lot of people think more power will dispense this burden, it most certainly does not. Greater the power x greater the distance = greater the demand on skills -
For me, Hobby ( RWS) 11.9 grain .22 " under 30 yds" are just superb in both accuracy and stoppage One of THE BEST shorter range pellets to use,- rats , ferels - outstanding !

Does pellet expantion really matter on impact ?
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Didn`t know you wore ladies " high heels" Jon What else do you wear ? X -
Well lads, I`ve kept quiet for a good few months over this as the sympathy off you Twats is fecking legendary X. Both of my bottom row wisdom teeth either side of my mouth had to be removed and yesterday morning, they were removed . I`ve not picked my shotgun up in what seems like a couple of years I was knitting a jumper with my toes when they started the procedure. Well the dentist numbed the feck out of me gob ( four large injections per tooth ) and proceeded to extract the biggest, m

Here`s the Hobby flat head power under 30 yds with a 9 ft/lbs, just bought, tired old FWB Sport .22. before tuning. Devastating stoppage power the Hobby with a 12 ft/lb rifle under 30 yds. " Instant despatch" by the way. -

In all these years, I`ve still to find a better , more accurate , harder hitting pellet than 11.9 grain RWS Hobby flat heads for close range ratting under 30 yds. After 30 yds accuracy begins to fall but under 30 yds they " don`t half dump their energy" into the vermin -
I was intrigued the other day by a post from " our Rezmond" showing a Barracuda Hunter Extreme ( I think ? ) after being shot into a hollow rubber ball. The pellet had expanded across it`s face considerably. So I thought I should post two Falcon Accuracy Plus pellets (.22) taken from two despatched Grey Squirrels I recently shot. Neither .22 pellet exited these squirrels, both heart lung shot with immediate despatch to approx.` 35 yds. The FAP pellet on the left is heavily marked as it w

To be very honest lads the HW 100 KS .22 I use, is lethal to vermin etc at sub 12 ranges, they are pure tac drivers I`m using FAP these days and are proving even better than AA Fields. -
On my permissions things are quiet right now so I tend to just train Kaiser and walks. A farm about a mile away has rape growing and pigeons are plentiful there but this particular farmer lets no one shoot - period, so the pigeons are never shot at and settled. Anyways whilst walking and watching my grounds I`ve picked up on the times the wood pigeons lift and disperse to differing areas/ trees over on my grounds 11 am for a good hour onwards and then 2-30 pm for a few late to feed. If I had not been out late
