Just cleaning the barrel Jimmy, - be patient my friend. Here`s one of my drawings, ( better than a pigeon head) to put you on, as the weather is horrendous just now, in my parts. I`ll try a string or two when or if it breaks I was watching Si Pitterway doing an accuracy review on the Pro Sport and he highly recommended RWS Super Field 4.52 for it. So without " further a do" I bought two tins for the first testings.

BSA Meteor ! Where`ve you been Phil ?
-
Great shooting lads.

Aye up Rez, No big deal but eye relief and the very last arrestor hole on the Sport governed the rear mount position, if you notice the breech and loading area, I only just got away with this scope . Not out with her until she is perfect mate, then chronograph .

A lot of lads think either way Sean but because I`ve only needed to tweak my T Rex`s scope/ mounts once or twice since 2015, I thought I`d stay with two piece and built in arrestor pin again. p.s. lovely, light nudge of a recoil Sean, should be easily held again.

Jimmy how did you clean your pro sport barrels ?
-
Very smooth shot cycle indeed Jon. The FWB Sport .177 is aggressive in comparison. The T Rex is very smooth also, so a match off on paper between the two rifles, shot by the same owner will prove very interesting, I think.

Everything done now, she`s ready for zeroing in. I was unable to use a napier pull through to clean the barrel before her zero. I didn`t want to force anything so I rang the RFD. They said to use the felt pellets if that was the case but I would still get a very fine zero eventually without, as the rifle needs to bed in. I`ll get the felt cleaning pellets I think. Anyway here she is in daylight. Forgive the weeds, brickwork etc, etc.

Try Countryway gunshop Phil, I use them a lot. I`ve had a very quick toot and saw the Trophy,- rushing to work. Good luck mate.

Great answer Mark . We all know, now, how to give you the best advice we can. When you say Bedford, - is that Bedford in Leigh, Lanc`s, or elsewhere ?
-
Hi Mark, Ditto to Si`s comment, - it is a hard time of year mate. Hope you don`t mind the question,- how long have you been air gun hunting ? Gives us a clearer idea of you Mark.

Well lads, took the Mamba Lite 4 - 16 x 44 off the FWB Sport ready for the new AA Pro Sport. So I`ve now mounted the old Bushnell 4x38 onto the FWB Sport 124 mk1 using Modern Sports Match mounts. This combination is very well suited, above just setting the scope on a plumb line and spirit level to eradicate any scope cant. I`ll zero her to strike a match over the weekend. Thank`s again for this free scope Tom ( Burras), If ever I can return the favour. atb Mark.

It`s about time you shot something ! Compliments Billy

Here she is lads. Forgive the camera flash as it is giving a false picture - the stock is much darker than this but you can get the drift of that exquisite striping in the grain after I applied the first coat of Walnut oil. I`ll come back on a later date with daylight pictures and her set up to go. atb Mark

Jeff, Do you honestly go to bed and sleep under that duvet, thingy , at night ? As for that pistol, ffsake.

Hunting spring rifle, - The T Rex 200 HC MK3 .177
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in Airgun Hunting
Yeah, cold but lovely day. I don`t think an airgun hunter`s cabinet is full, without a T Rex in it , - superb rifles. Which springer do you fancy Twat, I mean , Matt Carp fisherman ? yep it does but just has to be done this time of year. -
Hunting spring rifle, - The T Rex 200 HC MK3 .177

I`ve always asked myself the same question Rez - I regret not getting the Walnut . Saying that, I still consider them to be a mighty, fine looking rifle, just the same. Semi retired As often as I can. -
The sister to my T Rex , the Pro Sport, " should" be here tomorrow, touch wood, so I thought I`d give the T Rex a hunting session today. It`s hard shooting on my permissions at the moment as the pigeons are feeding away from my grounds on Rape. Anyway, I`ve watched a few trees of late and decided to try one of them but it needs a hide putting up and is a bit of a walk across some fields to get to. So, I saddled up my home made hide, poles, primos , seat and game carrier and off we went. I landed a

Well lads, I managed a quick hour late on this afternoon with my HW100 KT .177. for once, I`ve been shooting spring rifles when the weather has let us get out. Presentations were just two wood pigeons , one retrieved and one I denied as the ground is full of broken glass and I won`t let Kaiser retrieve from there. Thoroughly enjoyed the hours shooting

Oh be quiet ! Classic ? Twice a Rapid age, no re-fill required and if you know how to shoot a spring rifle - FWB Sport ? 1978 Shot in 2017.

As with all skills Jimmy,- modern life finds/ gives you a way around it.- Short cut stupidity. I`ve just spent £575 on a " spring rifle" the Pro Sport, - Jimmy that rifle fits me like a glove and I was leaving the lads at my club behind at the range with my mates Sport. I`ll post the results of her target work as and when she arrives lads, before she sees any field work. atb Mark
