  1. Compliments to you Pav. Excellent shooting.
  2. Far to busy to commit anything Ian but I`m sure others would ? Good luck.
  3. Sorry mate, can`t help that way as I am far too busy but it would sure suit you Jimmy, with you only being a part timer. X
  4. There has been a lot of interest in Classic rifles, classic hunting and gun/ classic restorations for a while now. A good few lads wanted a classic section. A section was given called "Tatty old air rifles" or something like that but you can tell what the response would be like to a section called this. Literally hundreds and hundreds of posts in general discussion over classic and restoration work, A CLASSIC SECTION IS NEEDED ( sorry for raising my voice) atb Mark.
  5. I thought you were going to polish the coins to a blank, pure silver finish and then initials or logo of your choice Jimmy, rather than left as a coin ? Your certainly onto a very interesting project there Jimmy, that`s for sure. Good luck !
  6. Feck me that rosewood is gorgeous Jimmy. I`ll def` have one mate please I`ll get "Iceman" engraved into it
  7. I`ve no doubt the internals of the Walthers are excellent Tim, mine was lovely and smooth. Again though, going to their triggers Tim, they are no HW Rekord or AA trigger are they ? I`ve just this week bought a 97 K from Simon, ( Piano Man) and that Rekord trigger is sweet, also SFSports Delrin internals. I`m no gun smith, as you know but the Delrin internals and correct lube really help with recoil and triggers with accuracy. Only my opinion again atb Mark.
  8. Hmmmmm Some not so lucky, one 27yds from the barn. One of the farm`s incomes is caravan storage. Wood pigeons and collards like to sit on these wires and telegraph poles and dump all over the vans. The farm wants rid of them, sharpish . atb Mark.
  9. Walther`s LGV and LGU are nice and smooth, agreed, I owned the Master Pro .177. Exterior build quality of the Master Pro isn`t any where near as good as any of the rifles I presently own, in my opinion. I`ve since found out that, that horrible router cut, to the fore end of the stock is there purposely to allow for the cocking of the rifle with open sights in place. If you buy a rifle to use with a telescopic sight and no open sights, then tough tish you all have to live with this on your rifle. " MUCH CHEAPNESS" comes to m
  10. "Just bought" the HW 97 K myself Dean. You have answered your own question really Dean. You are new to springers , always used your recoilless HW 100 all the time and now after a clean and fettle your 97 is producing 11.7 ft/lbs and very accurate but has got " some kick on it". Simply put Dean - forget the kick mate, just get used to it and learn how to shoot, no disrespect but PCP`s bridge all the shooting skills and you learn " NOTHING" In the same breath, you`ll "FORGET EVERYTHING" by constantly using a pcp.
  11. Shhhhh ya fecker ! I`ve spent just under 1 k listening to you this year, Brand new Pro Sport HW 97K Now your pecking over the HW 77. Feck me though, what guns these two are, wouldn`t be without either of them lads. I`ll just sit back and wait for that 77 you`ve got Jimmy. " The one with - Mark`s got first refusal, written all over it" atb Mark.
  12. Nice shooting Jimmy, Shot placement is "spot on" - compliments to you. I`ll put those coins in the post for you today, should be with you Tuesday "ish".
  13. Nice shooting mate, as per. Erm, " Where`s yer air cannon " ?
  14. Hi LJ, I do like my static hunting LJ, so a lot of my shooting is off Primos shooting sticks, the accuracy levels don`t half go up a couple of gears using shooting sticks . Don`t get me wrong though, I spend hours and hours practicing shooting and range finding out in the fields also. As the lads say, "practice" and make that "good practice". For every 5,000 pellet batches I buy, I`ll bet 4,000 are shot in practice, if not more. Good luck LJ Mark.
  15. Silver sixpence or silver Three pence ? If your not sure Jimmy I`ll send you both
  16. Jimmy, if you need a true 99% silver coin use a pre 1947 coin. If yer stuck for one I know a bloke that once did a lot of metal detecting Me.
  17. Ok - got the photo`s for you mate. A lot of shot gun lads used to and still do, " personalise" their guns. A suggestion for your new cap mate, I would be sorely tempted to do this if I was you and insert a beautiful small shiny brass plate into that cap with your own personal initials How smart would that look ? Just a humble suggestion mate but your 77 is looking " Elegant" atb Mark.
  18. This looks elegant Jimmy and the right route to take, ( for me). I was at the RFD yesterday morning picking up a nice gun bag for the 97 and asked if he had any rosewood caps but sadly he hadn`t . I told Steve about your project with the 77 - he loves this kind of stuff. Jimmy I`m going to photograph a shotgun or two of mine that might make you think even more and I`ll post my thoughts shortly for you.
  19. Had some real quality time on the paper with her again tonight . Accurate is not the word. atb Mark
  20. How long have I been telling you to get your ( .177) 97 tuned ? Also make sure you try out "my recommended pellet" - the JSB Exact Express with her. Twat x
  21. Purchased a tuned HW 97K .177 off one of the lads from this forum Simon, Piano Man and she arrived late this afternoon. Great lad to deal with fellas Here`s the parcel lads, I duly unwrapped the contents, got my mate round with his skip wagon, ( builders skip) and filled it with fecking bubble wrap . Joking apart Simon, you did a cracking job of protecting this parcel`s contents. Right, - put the action and stock back together, took an " instant liking" to the Hawke Endurance scope and Sp
  22. Well lads my idea was to hit the Wood Pigeons coming in to roost but as you all know, they were doing a disappearing act the instant they entered the high canopy. Long range "ish" around 45 yards, lased, to the top of that canopy to the left but they were taking the dense cover straight ahead,- I had no presentations whatsoever. Then, without any prior sighting, a young squirrel showed it`s back to me, right at the very top of the left side canopy. I couldn`t take a head shot as it was upright, taking food and stre
  23. Nice shooting BN as per. Great result with the new perm` too. " Git"
