I`ve owned this rifle over 4 yrs now and it`s accuracy still amazes me at times. Took a 47 yd shot on this large rabbit with a 1/2 mill dot hold over and again the 5p area was hit slam hard. Check out the deformed brain area of the pellet strike. Here`s his Royal Highness, 43 yard retrieve to hand. " Bring him here Kaiser" ! Good lad ! The picture shows the entry wound from a downward shot, the exit wound I`ve purposely left out but the AA Fields 8.4g, 4.52 are outstanding in the 100`s

Great write up Jon and nice shooting lads. Must admit, squirrel is my preferred wild meat but do try the American way, deep fried. We had a bit of a family party, get together and when the beer was flowing I deep fried some Squirrel and introduced a tray of Pigeon pasties and the lot went in 10 min`s. By the way Jon, which brand of pellet are you using in that fine looking T Rex mate and which scope are you using ? The free hand TX shot, Jon, this may or may not work for you mate but sure help

Jimmy, if I didn`t own a TX already, I would be buying this from you as you do look after your kit. Bargain price.

Either way it`s got to be better than a fecking sheep Twat x

Here you go lads. It was starting to go dark but got there. Bottom targets shot first. -

Well spotted TT . I was beginning to wonder is it just my mind ? The rifles were shot from cold, straight out of their bags. Both rifles were shot at the "head targets first" and "heart lung second". I`m no gunsmith remember but my take of it, is, that after the first 10 shots both rifles had warmed up a little and greater shot consistency was created ? -
Here`s the difference lads, is it worth it ? First photo is my recently bought, untouched Pro Sport, shot cold from the bag, going for two groups of 10 head shots and 10 heart/ lung. To take this in lads, place a 5p coin in front of you then check the pictures out please. Then exactly the same again, same cal, same pellet, same scope but a tuned T Rex. All 40 shots would have despatched wood pigeons but would tuning the pro sport be worth it ? atb Mark

That`s a great idea ! I`ll send it to Big Mac for Christmas, should keep his head warm Dye that a deep brown Jimmy and leave the tail on, it would knock years off you, " Honest " The back legs for your new Elvis side burns. A bit of string between those two front legs and under your chin will be great. Watch for the winds lifting the back up though

Hw 100 pellet choice
mark williams replied to Lee.m's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I`ve still yet to try VM`s recommendation of the JSB Exact Express 7.87g, 4.52 in my 100 kt but now use that pellet in "all" my other .177 rifles with outstanding groups. I know all rifle barrels are different but to help you along I have used AA Fields 8.4 g, 4.52 in my HW 100 KT for over 4 years now without a barrel clean. Unless you begin to get poor accuracy, once your chosen pellet is found, do not clean your rifle barrel and stick to your pellet choice in that barrel " religiously" ! Here`s -
I fancy " trying to make" - a pellet pouch, using the tail as a flip over fastener . I have seen squirrel and rabbit skins cut to foot sizes and inserted into boots and wellies for foot warmers to very good effect.

Yes still pliable, reminds me of old parchment paper.

Remember this in November 2017 lads, with the FWB Sport 127 mk1 (.22) ? Took the hide off one of them. Well here`s the same hide today after being salted and dried for months. My first attempt at egg tanning lads, so a little more drying inside my garage now and take it from there.

Took the TX out for an hour this morning,- just too hot. A Blue Tit nest was destroyed in the farm yard and no sign of life whatsoever, anywhere. So I sat back in the barn shade and waited and waited and waited, when a certain nest robber paid another visit. For once, unsupported and at 34 yards, a bandit sat on top of the bird box checking it had done it`s dirty deed to the full. I obliged with a 7.87 g JSB Exact Express to the engine

He`s ok Jimmy but many thanks. If his Dad asks about a rifle though I might suggest a HW 30 to him to start the "all important" practice in the garden. -

That was a problem Jimmy, he`s not the biggest 13 yr old in town and my spring rifles butts were above his shoulder to get his eye anywhere near the scope. I stopped that scenario straight away . He`s a left hander as well, so the stock on the KT was as close as I could get for length as well as left or right handed, ( still too long). He had fun though and at this stage that`s all that matters, - like a gun dog puppy I suppose ? How`s Bella comi -

No Jonjon, I hate seeing a wounded rat never mind anything else. Any young lad coming with me has to shoot well first or go elsewhere. It`s a " Duty of care" to the youngster and also our countryside and wildlife but I do hear what your saying mate. I was taught by a game keeper Jon - it rubbed off a little atb Mark. -
He`s just 13 yrs old and a medium build, the closest and easiest guns in my cabinet turned out to be the 100`s for him. Well I put him on a golf ball size target at 38 yds and he managed to hit it 6/6 times with the 100 kt .177. Then I put him onto the pigeon simulated target and he managed to hit it most times , not bad for a brand new 13 yr old, no wonder Big Mac ( Jimmy) likes the 100`s so much Anyway I took him to a small wood for pigeon but he watched only as I wouldn`t allow wounded pigeon.

I can`t speak much on tuning mjr as I`m no gunsmith either, what I can say is that I sent just one of my springers, a TX 200 HC MK3 .177 off to The Rat Works and the gun came back as a superb rifle to own. However mjr, the one thing that makes an incredible difference to "ALL" rifles accuracy, spring rifles especially ( for me) is, - Lots of practice. I`ve just treated myself to a Pro Sport .177 and as far as I am concerned , at the moment, she`s staying untouched.
