  1. HW 100 kt 177 cal. - best rifle I have ever owned bar none in 40 odd years of shooting/hunting with air rifles. Good shooting Skot. atb.
  2. Hi mate, I`m the type to use a camo face mask(light weight),camo gloves, jacket etc.I always camo the HW 100 kt also and I like to lay and wait, - the camo is an absolute must with my shooting. atb
  3. same here - one to two weeks (nr Manchester) atb
  4. great shooting mate, I have the 177 version and find the hw 100 the best rifle I have ever owned in over 4o years of airgun hunting. atb

  6. Hi mate, I`ve shot air rifles for 40 yrs now and find there`s nothing to touch the HW 100 KT,i have the HW 100 KT in 1.77 cal and find it absolutely lethal if used in a lay and wait sniper scenario. I use full camo` and bipod as much as poss` with the rule head shots only - I find this gun incredible in my honest opinion. Best wishes
  7. nice shooting mate. I`m shooting with the hw 100 kt in 177 cal and find it to be a superb gun. Your set up looks 1st class mate - good luck.
  8. 177 cal at night is a very forgiving cal mate which calibre and set up are you using ? Atb
  9. Magpies in a stew ? Gaaaawd this austerity is getting bad Good shooting mate and atb.
  10. On a still day with a good quality rifle in 177 cal. (just my opinion) - head shots. If a pigeon presents a side on shot 1/2 " below the top of the shoulder will send the pellet straight through heart/lungs. atb
  11. Good shooting mate, keep the fox in mind for next time atb
  12. if i am reading this correctly Craig you are shooting downhill to ground which is sloping one side to the other across the horizontal plane. If i have read this correctly i would suggest target practice the left and make milldot notes with the range markers in place. Then "seperately" make milldot notes and range mark the right side with markers in place. The zero will be "different" atb
  13. Aye up Craig, Set your position to shoot downhill and if you are zeroed at 27 yds in 177 you should not be bothered with hold over or under according to my golborne comprehensive maths."at 27 yds". My trick is to use a small cardboard box with targets siliconed on put out at 25,30,35,40,45,- max` 50 yd and a smooth pebble the size of a tomato with the range painted on in the position you expect the rabbits,- now rabbits dont read very well and my pebble method is far cheaper and "quicker" than a range finder. Go to your spot and practice the ranges and hold
  14. Hi all, When i bought my HW 100 about a month ago (new gun) i asked the gunsmith do i need to clean the barrel ? He basically said no, not really required at all unless i owned a rimfire, My HW 100 KT struggles to miss and my gun range says never fix something thats not broke. Your thoughts/advice lads please. Thankyou.

  18. Out again yesterday and the more i use this rifle the more i love it.I find that i keep going out and hunt sniper style, no mooching. During the afternoon, One woodpigeon (headshot) Two collards (boiler room) One Bandit (magpie) (boiler room) all at approx`35 yds Home for a short break then onto a very shy rabbit population on another shoot. I waited approx` one and a half hours to get my only shot, fully cammo`d up, laying prone with my 100 on its bipod, "Thwack" ! 38yd head shot few kicks and lay still. No m
