  1. I keep saying I should try them, shot over 200 this year, ferrets love em though
  2. Nice, very nice, bet it's bloody cold when the wind is blowing though. if you want to ferret it I would be happy to come up for a day with you.
  3. Bloody hell, that looks a cracking bit of ferreting, don't you use them ?
  4. Fair play jimmy, I had the photon, for just over a week, soon got rid of it, not a patch on the pulsar units.
  5. Phil, unsure if this is of interest to you, but I have a pulsar n550, it came back from the manufacturers a few months ago after been sent in for a full check over, I've not used it since as I bought the n870lrf whilst waiting for it to come back (takes months dealing with pulsar). scott and country tell me he thinks they have fitted complete new internals inside my case, apparently they don't bother with older units for repair, they charge a set fee £195 in my case and just fit new internals. i won't be needing it, and it may as well go, if it interests you.
  6. Your about the only bloke I have ever heard offer this, most companies don't want to know unless it involves parting with your hard earned first.
  7. No they don't NEED water, they like it,they love it I fact, but from chicks are equally happy without a pond if they don't know any better. ducks ARE Messy though, drink, eat mud, Drink, eat mud and so forth, you will end up with boggy holes. i have seen my ducks sitting in a bucket with water in, I use a cattle trough and they love getting in it.
  8. WTF is that mac, looks a nice bit of kit, but what's the advantage over say a t50 ?
  9. What's the deal on these packages, trophys and been able to have them prepped and shipped to the uk ? currently looking at bear packages when I spotted this.
  10. That's a nice looking blade griff, wouldn't mind that myself, still have the wolf paw one, and yes it does get used, albeit very carefully.
  11. I wish I had the opportunity to find out, but best of luck with it.
  12. Bit late me ole mucker, that was three yrs back, introduced me to some of the finest fallow stalking I have ever seen.
  13. To be fair pal, ducks are so easy, good hardy birds, just need food and water with some shelter of sorts, not sure about oz, but here they pretty much look after themselves.
  14. Fair play, I had always presumed they would be a whole lot of work and need to spend many hours every day working with them. My Mrs wouldnt mind them in the house one little bit, think we had just over 100 turkeys and ducks in the lounge this year, until we had a shed free for them (day old chicks not strong enough to go straight out). i have heat lamps and incubators, I probably have everything bar the knowledge, finding a mentor around here, that would be the hard part.
  15. Wow, cracking pics, never did see one at that age, how much work is involved in keeping them bud.
  16. Thanks, what I was getting at, do you know what model it is ? Seeland generally name all their coats. Is it lined, like a warm winter coat or a lightweight summer type coat. Is it the photos or does it have a red tinge on the lining.
  17. Which one is it ? The last one didn't fit so I need next size up
  18. I normally reckon to get 4.50 - 5.50 when I put them in there, how many were in ? Jill's were making upto £30 the week before as well.
  19. Jeez, I was going up with 86 rabbits but changed my mind at half 5 in the morning, wish I had gone now, that was good money, up on the week before. i see the pheasant have already dropped
  20. Welcome, as said, get knocking doors, if the farmer needs food bad enough am sure he will trade some rabbit shooting for it.
  21. Very nice to see, more to been a keen hunter and country person than wanting to see everything dead, wish some of the antis knew how most of us are. An old keeper I knew reared two over the years, she had 14 or 15 dogs and the fawn grew up with them, first I knew when I visited her was the usual pack of dogs tearing across the lawn to the gate, thought I was bloody seeing things when I saw the munt in with them, it slept, ate, and ran with them, unbelievable, was so friendly, thought it was a dog I reckon, she had it three years before it dissapeared
