He knows me too well

Dynamite lad, it's the way forward, thought you demo boys would have learnt that by now
-
If I still got it you can have second dibs on it mate.
-
Let me have a look tomorrow, I did have one, dunno if it went in my last clear out though.

Your a good man, if you go first I will dig your hole, and if I go first bury me under a building
-
You be gone before me you silly sod !
-
Yeah, my sentiments exactly.

I like the Nv so doubt I would sell it, not just yet anyway, but am thinking a scope and spotter in thermal would be the nuts, worked hard for it bry and its no fecking use in me grave !
-
Where do you lot get yours, may try a spotter and a scope in a few weeks if I like it enough, I can see endless uses for a spotter not just out shooting.
-
Thanks, I need to get my head around all this, if only shops stocked them and were open at night. Seems to be a popular choice for spotting, what's the opinion on going straight in for a scope though ? Can any of them range find, love that on my 870, I've seen a few thermal scopes do it, but not spotters.

I normally take one of the dogs with me and they pick up, or at least find them, but left them at home last night, too bloody busy to spend hours walking the fields at the mo, last night was the first one I seen for a few weeks. Go for the whole hog , it's only a few quid more in the grand scheme of things If you don't ,you will only regret it soon after Yeah that was my original thinking, but was concerned if the picture was good enough to recognise what I was shooting hence using the Nv for the shot after spotting, if only you could go and look through them.
-
I can't see how they can get away with that, it resembles a firearm in no way shape or form, it's an optic, that's it.

Thanks, I have seen your vids and very impressed by the picture quality. Looking at the spec, would the xp50 not give a better picture due to the higher resolution ?

Been thinking for a long time, but last night I lost a lot of shot rabbits I couldn't find in stubble and grass, so reckon it may be time for me to give it a try. It's a minefield, so much on the market, but what's any good, what's average, or crap, I don't have a clue,do I go with a spotter and still shoot with my n870lrf, or dedicated thermal scope. I want to be able to use it close up ratting, rabbits out to 100 yards plus, foxes upto a couple hundred, and general spotting at all manner of distances, so is there such a thing that will give me all this, and I would like to be able to

Interesting, what power is it running at ? I totally believe the shot, a bloke near me also has a .25 cricket running on 50ft lb, and I regularly see 100 yard shots with it, have even done them myself with it so know it's very possible, not sure what he uses, think it maybe jsb kings but will ask.

Done the deal, will have a play with them as soon as I get a minute, be up in the classifieds shortly as neither of them are keepers for me.

Had one on my wish list for ages, but tonight really peed me off not finding half of them, it's a must have now, just need to decide if I get a handheld and still use the Nv for the rifle, or go whole hog and get thermal scope.

Had a call from the neighbouring farmer earlier about an issue, whilst on phone he said he had cut half a field of oats today that borders my place, so I asked if he saw many rabbits, he didn't know but said he suspected they would be out on the stubble tonight and if I wanted to have a look around I was welcome. I charged the cricket up, and loaded a couple of mags, soon as it was dark I stepped out the door, it was pissing it down so I stepped right back in ! Change of plan, grabbed my lamp and jumped in the truck, Mrs came for a look as well, had a look around my place on the way an

Cheers Jon, the work was done in may this year at a cost of £200 No idea how either of them shoot, but have been led to believe both are very good.

I've been offered a deal on two guns as a swap for something I have. First up is a mk1 bsa r10 that's been tench regged and serviced by ratworks, has a hawke sidewinder scope on it and a bipod, one mag and filler probe, it's in .177. Next up is a stealth in .22. Give me an idea of value as I would only be looking to sell both these straight on, neither really float my boat.
-
Exactly what I do, I find no matter what brand or batch of pellets some always have skirt damage, often they don't look so bad until loaded in the mag that's when it really shows up, so when I load a bad one I force the head of the next pellet into the back, works a treat normally and stopped me throwing hundreds of pellets away.Still bloody annoying when you've shelled good money out for something though.

Nice one, so your liking the t3 then, good tools
