Labour are growing confident that they can take Wandsworth council............Thatcher's flagship !

I used to be celibate by choice............ ..........second choice, obviously !

On Newsnight, last night, it was suggested that he carried out this attack because he is (and here's a new buzzword for you) "incel".............. no, me neither, but apparently it means........involuntary celibate. So, in a nutshell, he killed all those people because he couldn't get a shag.

One of the good lady's uncles always bought a license. The one year he didn't bother, he got caught and fined £300 ! For the cost more the license, it's not worth the chance IMO.

That's cruel and very unkind......... ................to pigs !

If meat eaters acted like vegans....
Blackbriar replied to Maximus Ferret's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
If we're not meant to eat animals, why do they taste like meat ? -
Be my guest, mate. Just be aware of my spelling mistake - it should say "shiny, happy melting pots".
-
Then, well fit right in with them !

Films..... Operation Daybreak - true story, historically accurate and filmed in the locations where the events actually took place. Planes, Trains and Automobiles - just because it's a great laugh, which is all you need from a comedy film ! Tyrranosaur - a bleak film that's not easy to watch, but with towering performances by Olivia Coleman and Peter Mullen, in the central roles. TV........... Got to be Homeland - tightly plotted, full of twists and turns, topical beyond belief. Clare Danes brilliantly shows the vulnerable, human side of her character. The only

Stephen Lawrence Day............ The latest attempt to persuade us that we now live in a diverse, multiracial society and have moved forward from the 'bad old days'. That we live in shiny, happy melting lots of friendliness and fellowship. Look at the policeman, dancing at the carnival..........see how the politician shares a joke, with a lady in native dress........ A visit to any of our cities or major towns tells a very different story. Yes, society Is more multiracial and it is more diverse - but society is most definitely not integrated or assimilated. What we have is encl

Where there is life, there's hope ? Not always mate.........not always. Sadly.

Thank you for your sentiments, Wilf, but I wasn't looking for sympathy mate. Not at all. I looked at this story, but I was also thinking of little Alfie Evans and many the many others like him. I found the protests outside the hospital today really distasteful, but there is a common thread - and it's not something that should involve anger or outage. They should hold a much deeper emotion than that. All of these cases are desperately sad, for everyone involved, but there comes a time when you have to realise that all hope is gone, and it's out of your hands. In this kind of dreadful scen

I read the title, saw GL's name and thought........... "F*** me - he's got dragon steaks !" I want to come back as one of your dogs, mate ! I hope you, and every other right- thinking Englishman had a top day - if it's still going on anywhere, have one for me !

Doctors swear the Hippocratic oath - among other things, "to preserve life to the best of their ability". A patient's personal circumstances don't come into it. I'm not one for sharing very personal things on here, but here goes.......... My oldest stepson's second child was born very premature, with multiple complications (which I won't go into). She was ventilated and sedated, being kept alive mechanically. Over many occasions, over several weeks, the effect of the ventilator was reduced, to see if she would breathe unaided. Sadly, she failed each time, but every time, we could hea

In my experience, a doctor will only say there is no hope when that is the case. I've never, ever known a medical professional to give false hope !

House Of Lords Votes In Favour Of EU Rights Charter
Blackbriar replied to ChrisJones's topic in General Talk
If it looks like a stitch up, sounds like a stitch up and smells like a stitch up................ ............it's the unelected House ensuring checks and balances are in place. What a steaming pile of horse5hit - but they won't have to take the biggest bite, will they ? -
Fusilier Right was killed only a couple of miles or so away from Stephen Lawrence ! One murder is claimed to have "changed a nation"..........but I know that the other one should have !
-
Why ? Because this was the murder that changed a nation, that made us all question our attitudes, that decided the police are 'institutionally racist'.......blah, blah, blah. This is just a one-off - the rate they're killing each other in London, we'd quickly run out of days..........

It's a very popular name in South Birmingham...........apparently.

Levi Bell field can call himself Yusul Rahman, Manny Goldberg, Winston Carruthers or Elvis f***ing Press?ey, for all I care - he's still a scumbag, undeserving of the most basic human kindness ! Respect his religious requirements ? Why the f*** should he have anything about him respected ?

Looks like the Duchess of Cambridge will give Her Majesty another great grandchild, later today ! Fly the flag with pride !

A French court has upheld a decision to refuse citizenship to an Algerian woman, after she refused to shake hands with officials, following a naturalization ceremony. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/21/world/europe/handshake-citizenship-france.html

My mate makes them but, for the cost of a coil, I can't be ar5ed, tbh. Wouldn't mind a go at mixing my own liquid- where's the best place to get the ingredients ?

Life is like a box of chocolates......... .........if you're fat, neither of them lasts very long !

The good lady's stepmum doesn't like me eating venison and rabbit "because they're so cute".........but, she loves lamb, so has clearly never seen one ! She doesn't like me eating pheasant, but she eats chicken that's been so genetically modified that it can't walk by the time it's a few months old ! My sister in law is "vegetarian, but I eat fish and chicken" - never been able to make sense of that one ! And, weirdest of all - my ferrets don't like rabbit ! True ! There's no accounting for taste.............
