So he dosnt mind me shooting deer but does mind me shooting crows ...?...cake and eat it comes to mind in truth he dislikes hunting more than he likes certain wildlife ..

Were singing from the same sheet Dan , were just singing different verses ... You’ll be pleased to know I’m not a minority , loads of the pheasant boys who shoot and run syndicates are working lads that have done good and come up the ranks and look down on no one , sure there’s a top end to shooting but there’s always a top end to most things in life , do be fooled by the class war shit the only people we need to fight are the political elite peddling it ..

And that’s the heart of the problem and why the antis will win eventually , finger pointing , a few keyboard warriors the vast majority never get out more than a few times a year sit and spout of on a forum and every one takes that as the official view of anyone that shoots pigeons , be the same on the stalking forums and all the boys on the dog forums will be slagging shooters and stalkers and so it goes on , meanwhile the joined up antis chip away at the weakest link with great effect .. I don’t know one lad I shoot with who supports the ban on hunting with dogs , not one and I’ve been

No one is going to get a choice to retain anything , same as no one got the choice to loose hunting but I would obviously keep my guns mainly because my digging days have long gone . I for one never distanced myself from working dogs of any kind and as for paying for permission I’ve never done that either, like you a lot of what I do also comes under the protection of gamebirds act .Where you get every one who shoots couldn’t wait to distance themselves from the terrier boys is a mystery ! just because you keep saying it dosen’t make it true .Like me a lot of the old boys I shoot with have h

It is the fault of the conservative government of 2000 when they adopted the EU Directive on wild birds without realising the full extent and of it and the consequences to shooting pests , the general licence was the fudge to get round it administered by NE . Now picked apart but chwis crapham and a few smart arsed lawyers ...I wish the field sports side had some one half as slippery as them ...there running rings around us ...

Pot calling the kettle black there DC , your slagging the shooters most of which don’t get to shoot pheasants but get there sport from pigeon / pest control etc who by an large were totally against any ban on hunting .Plenty of us shooters did the march and demo’s at the time but there wasn’t a vote from ordinary people ( not that it would have been listened to given the present situation regarding the will of the people ) wether to ban it ! I don’t know one shooting man , and I include plenty of mates that do shoot pheasants that agreed with the ban . The decision to ban hunting had fcuk all

Cracking day ...you saved a tidy few song birds nests from the tree rats with that haul ..let alone the damage to trees , hoppers and feed in them ...

I’ve seen that a few years ago when I was in Essex ,I often see a buck fawn sticking with a little group of roe but by the time it was nine months old it had joined the young fallow ..we reckoned the same that its mother was killed and it ended up following the roe for a few months ..

I have just picked up a couple of hundred acres that joins one off my permissions, it’s never been shot for deer apart from the owner taking one or two for the freezer and even then he hasn’t shot one for eight years ..standing talking to him less than seventy yds away I counted 168 fallow laying in the field that adjoins his house ..as these were mainly doe's and last years fawns come early June there will be another 100 born , ...which just about wipes out every thing I culled this year from next door and a place four miles away ...he’s left the deer alone on the basis he likes to see a fe

For the safety of the general public I’d leave well alone ! He seems happy caravaning on his drive , he’s not adding to global warming with his exhaust fumes , he’s not loitering on the public highway with queues of frastrated drivers getting pissed off and he’s unlikely to run over some poor sod who’s on holiday while he’s trying to fathom out how some new gizmo works ..some times it’s better to let sleeping dogs lye ..?

The old boy opposite our track has a caravan , he has every extra known to man , an awning the size of Windsor castle , seen him and the old lady sitting outside drinking tea and having a picnic with it all set up , washes and cleans it , got a big fcuk off cover he wraps it in The cars all kitted out with special mirrors and anti lock towbar , caravan club stickers in the window the only thing we haven’t seen , is him towing the fcuking thing ! It’s not moved of his driveway in four years ..my pal Iives a couple of doors away and he recons they took it out when they first bought it and got

My last lab had a mammary gland strip at ten , a big op that I would not have normally have had done , she went on for another five years .She hadn’t been spayed and had not had a litter . The new lab , who I wouldn’t breed from has been spayed on the advice of our vet , my wife works for the vets and gets a 70% discount so it’s not money driven advice ...time will tell !

From field to fork ! ...food doesn't get much better than this .

Cracking first time outing ....there will be days you couldn’t buy a bag half that size .? Talking off buying it can be fairly expensive if you fall prey to the marketing men ...you can end up like the carp fishing boys and spend a day carting all the gear out ..?

The snowflakes are falling ! ...inquiry’s to follow , a sacrificial head will need placing on the block ...no doubt some poor sods army career will go down the shitter ...Jeremy and his party will want their pound of flesh ... In reality no one was hurt , no one was in danger just a few of the lads having a craic ..the same lads that will be required to step up to the plate when the call comes in for someone to do it for real ...we really are led by the donkeys .
