Only seen one Hancock dog run it was brilliant on rabbit and hare but Fox it would just shadow them around the field it was definitely no Fox dog.
Apparently it caught plenty I just never seen it catch a fox
Subaru forester on lpg, very cheap to run 300 miles for £30. Good on road and great off road.
I Would never have another vuaxhall vectra as long as I live, they break more than they run. Had a corsa b 1.7D Isuzu engine they do them in the astra vans and they are good
I used to take are lasses great dane when my lurcher went. He was absolutely useless at 1st but then he got the hang of it and now marks holes as good as a hound. Only problem is the rabbits are long gone if they bolt but he has caught a few.
I only took him for the company as ferreting without a dog isn't the same
Iv used them all the mk1 was good and easy to use.
The mk2 would've been good but kept giving false readings.
The mk3m is also good and probably the one I'd go for.

When I was on shifts we worked 1-8 afternoons that was a good shift but it only ever came round once every 3 weeks. Now I work days 8-4. I can lamp all night long then have 2-3 hours kip then back to work.
Often when on shifts I went straight from lamping to work with no sleep it was a killer but lamping is my passion and I wouldn't give it up.
Also when working shifts I had time to ferret in the day time when on nights but now I'm on days the ferreting took a back seat unfortunately.
Wish the poor dog did. I know if I ever seen them I would give them a clip.
Just go to show a dog is a man's best friend no matter how it is treat.
The b@stards
There was a bloke on here who made himself a backpack for ferrets and basic equipment, it had a little ferret box at the bottom with access to ferret the other space was for nets and the spade just went down the back of the rucksack was a good design but can't remember his name.
Was a cracking bit of kit for just walking around ferreting with dog
