The difference between now and the last time he applied is that since then he has had experience at a great historic club with knowledgeable fans ,one of the truly great English clubs ,this has probably swayed the FA who ,like the rest of football ,hold West ham in great esteem .

A very forgettable tournament won by a very ordinary team ,for all his very occasional bits of brilliance ,I think Portugal were a much better team without Ronaldo ,he seems to inhibit the rest of the team ,they are always looking for him and show signs of fear if they don't play what he thinks is the right ball ,too much influence over the team ,he obviously has a say in team selection and tactics .Also the commentators turning it into the Ronaldo show ,he got more mentions than any player on the pitch made me want to vomit all down my Sunderland top .

Since the 40s and 50s the size difference every twenty years or so in heavyweights is getting so drastic that these ,who's the best heavyweight ever debates ,would probably be better as who's the best pound for pound heavyweight ever ,it pains me to say it but some of the freaks of today would probably beat some really great champions of yesteryear just on size and awkwardness alone Its not enough any more to have all the prerequisites of a good boxer to rule the division ,youv got to have a fekin stepladder .
