  1. A fitting tribute Chalks... Condolences to all...
  2. It's a Blue Paul, a big fighting dog that was popular over the border in the 1800's, supposedly extinct for many years. Though, in the big mish mash of bull breeds these days i'd betcha someone says they got one!
  3. Very best of luck with it Patrick, you'll only get out what you put in
  4. Fair play to ya Tracey, a great feeling from getting a garden right. I'm into my second year in mine, damn near killed me too, as it was a jungle when I moved in but it's getting there now. I'll post some pics up soon as. Artic, that's just as i'd have it too, a cracker!
  5. Bout feckin time you sorted a camera out...! Tim can put up the breeding of his bitch himself but seeing as he'll never say much about his own dogs, i'd simply put that that lurcher is one very capable animal and so is the terrier bitch. I'd be very happy to own either!
  6. Was six when my first lurcher came in, 44 now, so it's 38 years! Still gettin a buzz, still learnin too, no ones too old for that.
  7. Mate, as you know it is well worth a £1 to see Dillon stood in the ring with terrier, burger and can of fosters......I would pay the quid everytime just to be able to shout abuse at him!!
  8. Right now mate, whilst your dog is stiched, whatever you do, do not let that dog do anything to pull those stitches, no free movement what so ever. Because just as sure as eggs is eggs, that dog will 'think' its better sooner than it is, and want to 'go' and your right back to square one. All of the advice above is good, once the stitches are out but do take things steady at first. Best of luck..
  9. This thred was started at 7.05pm, the last post on it is 9.45... Two pages of the usual codwallop about peoples opinion of 'preformance' and only me and Moo put sommat up about the actual thred, the dogs, which incidentally, is the fecking interesting bit...
  10. Thats the one Herdwick... Looks like its seen a bit of 'action' and a wadrobe top full of dust
  11. Thank you all, been a crackin day so far. Lunch (mostley liquid!) with my girls, and a few scoops tonight too.
  12. Ok, as we can sit an chat bollocks all night and nobody decides (or ain't got the bottle to post!) heres mine... Perform... I'm lucky enough to have owned him, a dog called Buck (and I really wouldn't say this lightly!), I thought i'd seen one hell of a dog, the best (his uncle), and never thought i'd see another like it, but this dog matched all his uncle did and then excelled it. I'm certain I'll never own anything like him again. Just for the record, another that very much deserves a mention, not owned by me, a Liverpool dog named Floyd. Simply 'the' best dog on foxes I (and many o
  13. Depending on how much you need (or how many, though you did say loaf) Christian, why not bake your own?
  14. Earth, Border Fine Arts used to do a cracker, a black dog chained to a shovel, think its been out of production for a fair bit but if you search...? Also, I have a few bronzes by Jon & Lynn Bickley from Norfolk. They used to sell at the Cup about 15 years ago, did some crackin stuff. I have a full address, drop me a pm if its of any interest.
  15. Yeah he still has his tail, need a better side picture soon! Hope to work him!
  16. I will tell him tomorrow he lives in crosby now Is he still shagging a lass with blonde hair really big chest? Edited to remove her name Think so converting an old light house to live in The Lighthouse in Crosby is getting done up but I was told he lives in the old windmill in Lydiate..? Maybe he likes living in the type of house that matches his trade...!
  17. I don't get what you mean by 'ditching lurcher', round here if its ditched, its thrown the towl in or jacked. The type I keep will hit hedges till thier dying day... And unfortunatley that can come a fair bit faster than expected! I'd agree with Tiny and say they do get better with age, but then if you own a hedge splitter, each and every run is different and dependent on how far behind their quarry and how hard they've ran it will determin if its a heart stopping strike or not. I lost two youngsters in as many years and have an old bugger here with one eye, how his mother never lost
  18. poof show man thats what you are .dont involve yourself with real workin dugs ya poof a hate yees ye fkn ruin good lines .f**k all show b*****ds.they hav ruined a lot of good lines.p.s .your dog is only as good as the amount of hares it chases.get them f****n on and fk the ban
  19. Personally I really don't give a feck who likes shows an who don't, its your call.. But there's a bigger picture...! I do, i'm choosy to which I attend, I always try to support local hunt shows & 'genuine' dog club shows. Both need YOUR support, both you will directly be helping and 9 times out of ten, they will be affiliated and/or aid working dogs! You do what the feck you want but if I've got the chance, i will be supporting working dogs and the affiliations behind 'em, always! Oh yer, posted on this before... It's all to well to attend the show... and then stand and critisi
  20. Thanks Skycat and all but i'll be honest, when you've helped pull sommat from your bitch and watch it grow from a ball of fluff and it took over ten years in the making, you ain't gonna say 'oh well'...!
  21. If your Vets right Staffs... Then its in the hands of the Gods but yours is a young 'un, and that really helps.... Best of luck...
