I'll bet it's not...! .. ATB..B Was there many dogs direct out of Pie sent over to Ireland? Busher's right, Otter did end up over there, so did Dee (his half cross son out of Otter), one or two more went too. Heard tell of a bitch that was over here(dead now) that was supposed to be out of Pie and Otter. If this is so,could this bitch be one of Dees sisters? It's possible mate. Pye (Pie) produced only one half cross litter, to Otter. There were two bitches in the litter Ice & Custard, I'm almost certain Ice didn't go over, not so sure about Custard but i'l

alright mate used to do all my raised beds with old scaffolding boards dig a spade down fill back up with horse manure cows manures better if you can get hold of it then take weeds from the soil and place on top of manure and when your beds are not in use plant green manure grow really fast and suppresses weed growth and just dig in before using the bed again ATB mate you;ll love the taste of your own grown fruit and veg. ..john Cheers John Was gonna use scaff boards originally but these sleepers came up 'very cheap' and will look good too. Don't get what you mean on when t

Just got some railway sleepers for my raised beds (this is only my second summer in this house and the garden has been tough going!), crack on with that this weekend, so it's slowed a fair bit down but still be doing, beans (runner & broad), onions, carrots beetroot, spuds etc. Just put some rasberrys in and rhubarb too.

Then you get the Must be ancient though. What cross was his daughter?

Moo, my young bitch isn't a pure Deerhound; she's a 1st cross Deer/Grey. And I know what you mean about them not growing old... she frightens the life out me at times, the way she takes obstacles at full speed ! cheers. Bosun, it's a hypothetical question I'm asking. I wouldn't hesitate in advising anyone to use Bruce as a stud. Cheers. Yes mate, I know and I answered hypotheticaly too And, as you wouldn't hesitate in advising anyone about Bruce then, hypothetcaly... Advise yourself too...!

I was thinking along the same lines as Dell too CP. When we met you had Bruce with you and I know you rate the dog. So you don't know his full linage.. Would it really matter, I'd very much doubt he'd throw stuff that would not resemble him, both in hight and looks, as he is out of a greyhound BUT then again, it shouldn't matter, it's what he's up too that matters and you and LDR know that better than anyone! Anyways, if it was me, i'd just look to a similar stamp of dog, with a bit more hight if poss. The fractions and mathematics of it's breeding wouldn't bother me none, as long as you k

in bold and i have got a pup out of the lines not from both sides or 5 generations ,but it was my pups greatsire so its pretty watered down then . anyone got any purebred stuff out of him or did it all die out , i love the old school stuff There is still tight bred stuff Chimp, it's few and far between now but still around, if you know where to look...

Good stuff Tomo

Well in that pic they look a little better CP but still a millon miles from a 'hairy whippet'. Tarty show bench shite, yes but I'll bet someone says they would be world beaters in the field before this thred runs its course!

Creatine is a naturally occurring energy source found in meat, it's not really a drug, more like a nutrient. cheers mate always believed it was some sort of steriod but like i said wasnt sure Daz, nowt wrong with Australian formula food, i've used it BUT yep, it does contain creatine and has a high protene content too, you'd have to be giving your dog some 'serious graft' to bother with it and its deffo not an all year round grub. There are far better balanced foods which will do just as good a job. i dont use it mate,i was just reading about it one day and remember it saying c

Ah, is that what they are, cheers CP Mini Borzoi type things, though from that pic I wouldn't call 'em lookers, a few other names spring to mind though!

Some of the stuff written on this thred makes good sense but plenty seems to be written from heresay and scaremongering. Here's my 10 penneth worth. First off, we owe the greyhound a lot, without these Formula 1 dogs just about every lurcher wouldn't be worth shit! I'd also agree with Baldock's too, in that lines of running dogs need an injection of greyhound in 'em after many generations as they will become more mongrelised. Though it'd be fair to say, match dogs apart, how many real 'lines' of lurcher are there out there? You'd only have to see a 'generations bred' lurcher run alongsid

Bad choice for me as I hate the fecking pair of 'em..! Ray Mears is a big fat tosser and fecking usless in any situation, three weeks carving a spoon when he could just use his fingers. He'd never survive anywhere except McDonalds!! So, it's have to be Shakira, providing the bint didn't start yodleing!

wat is your favarite breed of lurcher

All of the above, apart from the bottom line (I ain't been ripped off) BUT the best part is that good folk like John here think along the same lines as me and saved me a lot of typing.... -
it looks like Bungle out of Rainbow.

The orrible little shite got what was coming! A great slam, looks like the big kid was an avid WWF watcher..

Invite Macky (off here) down for a night, i'd stand him up as good a fox caller as anyone in this country. And a genuine bloke too. He'll ask you how far you want it in and deliver it... Honestly..!

Best of luck Staff's, keep us posted.

Couldn't agree more Chalks... Well played Ray, top bloke...

Jimmy, your dead right with your big head = etc Though what i'm reffering too is that when it comes to catching stuff, thats where it don't make the difference. Yer, a good strong head can come in very handy sometimes but as long as a dogs bonce is in proportion and the dog is all in good proportion then that'll do...! With good bull blood in your dog you should never need breed for a big head, point is, no one should ever look to head size when breeding anyway, there are much, much more important qualitys that we all should strive for when breeding, in any type of Lurcher!
