  1. Best way to do it imo. The best dogs i've owned have been bred that way. Make sure though that a bitch that age is fit and healthy before you go for it.
  2. A first cross American Bulldog that i took on loan, shit scared of a 14lb fox but would do its level best to kill any smaller dog at any given opportunity... A fecking liability! We parted company...
  3. The snooping and perving possibilitys are endless...
  4. Was on New Brighton beach a few weeks back, couple of blokes were flying a drone with them goggles on, around the lighthouse. I asked em about it and they let me put the goggles on... OMG how good was that view, perfect! They were skilled enough to fly it through the small windows at the top and i got to see inside. It was all very impressive BUT all i kept thinking about after was/still is that with gear like that no one or nothing is safe... Mark my words hunters will eventually be under more scrutiny than ever before..!
  5. The last and only time i heard mention of a f1 of this type was in Rogues & Running Dogs and thats going back some...
  6. Jack, like plenty of others, was out of Smithy and to my limited knowlage DH never had Smithy in his kennels.
  7. I like Clarkson BUT over the years, with popularity he's grown into a charicature of himself. These days he really has to act like Clarkson to be Clarkson, especially on TG. Personally i honestly think he really overstepped the mark, though the media frenzy surrounding it all is almost sickening... Like Clarkson being Clarkson TG has also ran its course, with slashed budgets, predictable presenters and little imagination, it's had its day in this format. Very noble of the other two to stand united but lets face it, without the linch-pin, they are fecked. May could go on to make reasonable
  8. Sat here like a Cheshire cat... Brilliant! Your right, they dont make em like that anymore.
  9. Which fell were that lot up on Fuji...?
  10. Surley you could find better than that show pony, or are you breeding for showey dogs.. ? There's a cracking 6yr old deerhound cross up the road from me thats seen some tackle in its life and that lining would be free!
  11. Sommat tells me he already knows mate..
  12. Good rounds can be worth a few bob in yhis city, windows can be a dangerous buisiness for someone trying to get started. It aint a mugs game..! Where i am now i pay a fiver for a three bed, bay fronted semi.
  13. I often see Malinois recommended as yard dogs but I don't agree with it TBH, these are serious working dogs that go mental without a real job to do, pacing around in a yard all day just doesn't cut it for them IMO. Collie or cattle dog would be a good fit, alert as anything, noisy and often quite likely to bite too. If he wants something that looks a bit more intimidating a EBT could do the job? Or what about a Kerry Blue? Knew a few nasty fecker Kerrys that were used as yard dogs back in the day... My old mam has a wee SBT/JRT thing as a watchdog, he may be little but he's a great ala
  14. Oh, the heads that turn. Makes my back burn

    1. walshie

      walshie

      And those heads that turn...

  15. Went into one like that in Malaysia, fecking orrible... Another there was full of venomous snakes (so they said) but it was better than them fecking rats... All i kept thinkin about was where's Johnny D when ya need him..!
  16. He'd be much better off with an alarm system. Far cheaper and less hassle in the long term. Why anyone would want to keep, feed, exercise a dog to look after other dogs i cant fathom.
  17. Get door to door in places like Erith and Bexleyheath, plenty of em down there and most locals have had enough.
  18. Black rats or ship rats (shippeys) are found only in a couple of specks. A couple of docks on the Mersey have em. I did a bit of pest control years back and we caught a few shippeys. They are different from browns. You'd know it if you came across one.
  19. One over by us in Formby Gnipper, that specialises in animal work. Though i'm not looking for a Sistine Chapel type thing, more of an animal(s) in motion.
  20. Even though i've just had me tea an i'm sat here stuffed, i recon i could just manage a little bite of that pie... Good goin mate, a good pie is as good as it gets... How about a suet pudding next and post on your efforts... Yum!
  21. Lal hardy is the man for that type of tattoo ...... I know he was into his running dogs and its been a good few years since i seen his work and back then i wasn't that impressed but maybe i'll check his work out these days. Cheers Socks.
  22. I've always wanted a running dog tattoo but the bottom line is they just aint right to tattoo by most artists...
  23. Took a while to open that link up and boy... What a dissapointment..!!!
  24. Back in the good 'ol days when we used to run the semi-urbans over on the Wirral (you know that game Pablo ), seen foxes scale sixes and sevens with ease, higher too. Wall, wood or mesh, living in that enviroment they sure get the measure of it.
