  1. What's the laws like in Spain regarding hunting with dogs,I'd assume much more relaxed than ours, but is it ok to use catch dogs?
  2. I have both set ups a striker and a tracer 150 I personally prefer not having the lead ,OK for a good few hours unless you like to leave your lamp on all night , Then I'd go for a striker/170 and a biggish lithium battery, the wiring isn't the most reliable though
  3. REW has a litter on ,if he has any left give him a pm
  4. Depending on budget I'd probably google a tracer 150 sportlight rechargeable so no battery to buy
  5. Cracking chunky pups trunk, hope they do the owners proud
  6. Think the lads who say certain things can't be done, ought to try harder themselves.....their dogs are maybe better than they give them credit for and as for 3 legged dogs I have seen one that would put many 4 legged dogs to shame lol and made a few trophies in the process
  7. That's a very good point, piece of mind plays a big part when feeding raw..........a decent dog will still perform on the cheapest shite kibble, I've seen it..........but I'm a convert now ;-) I have spent a fortune trying to get this one to eat....from human grade chicken to freeze dried beef ,to iams etc etc but if a dog won't eat a £50 bag of food or steak a £1 tin of chappie is going to give it more goodness all day I know tough love is the way forward though ,and give them what YOU want them to eat (as long as they aren't dangerously thin) and be stubborn as they are
  8. I feed raw ,but to be honest I think the owners get more out of it than the dogs. most will thrive on most food ,the owners just feel they are doing their best by the dogs. But I'd say most foods will get a dog 90% right it's that bit extra that they get from a balanced diet that makes the difference. Regardless of how you feed and how much you pay, they have got to like what they eat to get enough to keep them healthy. So if they won't eat top quality raw or dry ,tin dog food is as good as it gets for a skinny dog,if that's all they'll eat. A change of habit in feeding can help a fuss
  9. My pup was constantly grabbing his.mother by the throat, and charging her down, to a point where it was dangerous . I found keeping one on the lead and the other free ,solved it. Every time the youngster gets rough put him on the lead and bollock him. He'll get the message when he spends more time on the lead than off it. Just be consistant and firm. But he should grow out of it.
  10. Bull/greyhound x saluki/greyhound My 3/8 bull grey to snoops razor Theres a few of the litter on here
  11. I got one of those batteries ,but they would'nt Power a lamp ,will they power a tracer 150?
  12. Must admit.first time i.saw one,it was the first thing.i one ,tried to twist the head lol
  13. One i'll be running this season and for many more hopefully 15 month old.
  14. Chicken carcasses are good grub ...watch too much liver can give them the squirts
  15. Grayshill ,do some cracking beef ,down near cumbernauld
  16. Looks like she'll move bit and in fantastic condition credit to you ......not bad for a bull cross lol
  17. In fantastic nick DLM....as usual. Keep me posted how he does this season mate probably my favourite on here at the moment amd some great breeding in there too keep up the good work
  18. But to add to that you shouldn't be stuck with many on your hands for long, as i'd expect some decent pups out of a breeding like this
  19. I'd sooner give away to a GOOD pet home than a paying bad working home, and theres enough of that type about. But the good working homes are there if you are prepared to take the time.
  20. Sounds a handy dog for someone. Especially as she does the rough shooting and goes to ground. Maybe some bedlington in the breeding do you think? Just going off the coat type . All the best with homing her in the right home
  21. Oh!if you bred the litter , and they are level sizes etc go on the one you take a shine to , theres usually one that goes to sleep on your feet or has that bit of something in their character . if theres 2 out the litter that you fancy let someone else pick
  22. if the parents are doing what I want my pup to do. I look for the one with a bit of character. Then a nice long back ,decent feet and a bit of bone , but if its a lecel litter let the missus or kids pick one
