  1. Bung a pic up wild Bill of white lightning lol
  2. For filming probably the 2nd , But for the actual lamping the 1st
  3. Should imagine there's a bit more she could do if there wasn't a ban
  4. Saw golly once looked a beast of a dog that had seen plenty of work . Had a pup out of him but she was puts young due to an illness.
  5. Jekyll that's a cracking looking bitch, just the type I like looks fast but strong
  6. funny how some people don't read the original post ..haha Of course I read it but what I was referring to ,is that deer threads usually go one way into a slanging match on whether possible or not and then gets locked
  7. Funny no one mentions red deer being hardest
  8. Having 1/2 bull 1/4 bull or full bull is no guarantee of gameness, strength maybe, yes, but they are up for it or they aint. It would be nice that the coursing side can put a shift in too,as just because it's got Saluki in it,don't mean it will throw bottomless wind and stamina . You could just end up with a skinny coward lol
  9. Mine are like you say, bull cross mother, Not heard of many the other way round. Maybe as those who have Saluki cross bitches that are good at their job, maybe they'd want to use a similar bred sire
  10. Sounds like its going to be a handy litter Pal ,keep us posted
  11. 3/8 5/8 towards the bull budInteresting, they won't be far off 1/2 crosses then will they, well 7/16 any way What's the sire like, height etc
  12. How much bull on your bitch Wales?
  13. Be careful with the king span type unless they are sealed in.they breakdown after time giving off dust which gets everywhere ,OK if sealed in .Turned my white terrier pink lol
  14. I shouldn't imagine you'd need any more height (or weight) than what a good size greyhound would give you. So adding a huge wolfhound wouldn't add anything other than even more size and weight ,bad hips liver shunts etc etc So other than novelty value,in this country anyway ,I can't see the benefit. They have never hunted wolves,as said they are a project to recreate a dog that ,probably wasn't as big as a wolfhound any way...
  15. I was out last night ,and it was blowing a gale here in the Midlands, perfect night
  16. Kept 2 lurchers a couple of times,I always tended to have a favourite that I'd take that would give me most options ,so ideally I'd only keep 1. Unless the land I ran was bad or they was reckless I'll stick to 1. As to the cross ...one that's 25 - 27 And will have a go at most stuff
  17. I'll Tune in next week for the next exciting installment.
  18. Should imagine with a SKILLED breeder something of a decent sort could be produced all crosses show variety in siblings. Just because it's unheard of doesn't mean it wouldn't work. But the bits you want to keep from a patterdale are the bits you can't see so work would be the key. Where would we be if someone hadn't have tried Saluki or bull or what ever. Just not a project I'd want to take on.
  19. Boots having a bad hare day Fuji lol Looks a miserable day ,but I was working in it so I'd swap any day lol
  20. But just to add she sang like a hound too,a bushing dog more than a lurcher tbh
  21. Had a pat x whippet wasn't big enough TBH She could hunt like a hound ,wasn't really quick enough, Would be interested to see how a greyhound cross would look like. Maybe a 1/4 patterdale,or 3/8 would be enough. But I don't think I'd personally go to the trouble.
  22. I wouldn't Get rid because of a couple of yips btw Unless he is like a fox hound that is lol
  23. Some will yap through eagerness ,particularly if there not much about and what is about is off in to the hedgerow as soon as the lamp is on them, Just take his learning a step backwards and if possible get him the easiest of rabbits for a while and build his confidence back up...and don't run with another dog ,as it can become as race between dogs, one to one time on the lamp may help.
