  1. Me personally, was never happy, always critical to a fault. But it's a road to nowhere as the more they do the more critical you get. These days I'll work them to their strengths. These days if a dog does most stuff at a fair standard I'm more than happy. Sometimes if you step back, and just enjoy you'll see them in a different light and maybe better than you think.
  2. If you are thinking of getting one ,get the cluson plr500 same lamp but a lot cheaper, plus you get a car charger tio
  3. I got it from here mate http://www.thecountryman.com/
  4. To be honest straight2hand you can't see the fell hound in there too much it looks a real (they all do) look like real long dogs have they held on to the stamina that you'd want? The old fella on particular looks a a nice type
  5. I had a patterdale x whippet bitch. She hunted like a hound would go to ground ,but be called out. Had an excellent nose ,was an excellent ratter busher ferreted, but was a yard slow for rabbits in the field , But was the most argumentative and yappy dog I've ever known . Wouldn't mind another like her tbh
  6. i have both ,and don't mind either i just think they missed a trick of not putting a bi-colour led in the new ones to save using the filter. i like that the rechargeable deben one has no battery or wires ,i tend to take that one out now. also have a k50 i'm pleased with and handy local. I also don't like the fact that i need to rewire a lightforce within months of buying.
  7. No mate still use it , it's ideal local. Or on public land for the odd bunny or whatever . Just thinking having a red led in one of these deben rechargeable 150 would be ideal instead of a filter
  8. I've just bought a deben 150 rechargeable, Good little lamp and am pleased with it. One thing I think they have missed is they could have also put a red led in the housing ,or a multi colour one so as not to use a filter ..... Is there any lads that have adapted torches using the various Cree leds available and do they do a multi colour 10w Cree led. Would be an excellent modification and would make it near perfect.
  9. There's lads using them on the led lamps But I couldn't get it to run my 170
  10. A type of foxhound from Cumbria that's a bit racier than a regular foxhound Bred to run the hills ,supposed to have greyhound in their breeding
  11. I have both and like the led. I have a striker and a deben spotlight rechargeable. striker has served its purpose for a good while but their wiring is shocking. The sportlight is spot on for the money and am pleased with the beam and runtime you get
  12. Like the look of them Dai... Be strong by the looks of them. Good luck
  13. Lloydy best of 5 ? Might just guess, I'd say leather colour ,
  14. If it had to be another pure breed then a greyhound ,if not a well work bull
  15. spot on bosun.happened with pitbulls ,dogue DE Bordeaux ,American bull dogs etc... Then came bully kuttas lol
  16. I have bought one and quite like it. If only they had a red led as well as the white one or a multi colour led it would be close to perfect for me. Any electronic whizzes out there that can sort it ?
  17. How old is he now Bradus? You have done him proud rearing him, hopefully he'll pay you back 10x... good luck, any recent pics?
  18. Cracking healthy pups . They look real confident in the video you sent me ,and for no money
  19. Potentially great or shite ,if the parents were good the pups have got every chance . They will be lurchers at the end of the day buddy and what you show them will have more influence than the pure breeds that went into them generations ago . But the breeds you mention are the backbone of a lot of lines so if the both parents do what you want .....go for it
  20. I'd say it is possible he caught one,but doing it consistent is another thing, atb ATthats what i sed he sed he got a nother few nights later i dont now what to make of this guylet's me and you have a night or day out with him lol atb AT that sounds good if it was not for the ban think hes to old and fat now lol Can Never too old dai lol and I've seen fat fuckers power past me ,after the dogs caught lol just has to watch for peat bogs lol
  21. I know sandy but as I said it was a stag ,I do hear the west country has some fine examples though
  22. When you say 2 collie/bull/greys do you mean 2 working together? Personally I can't see a 25 inch dog stopping a mature red stag single handed. If I'm wrong then I stand corrected but for singlehanded surely it would need a bit of weight and also a bit of speed. no single handed mate and what I'd describe as average size lurchers ,and I saw it, there wasn't much drama ,ground plays a major part ,but taking them is taking them, not all deer can be 16 point monarchs
  23. I know of 2, 25" collie Grey x bull Grey's that did them on regular occations before the ban ,also a sapling that has. Heart has more to do with it than size, Saw a 28+ deerhound cross pull up on roe, So I figure the size isn't a guarentee. As to the the original question whether the bloke could own 3 that do it single handed, well he is a lucky man, especially if the can potentially catch 100 rabbits too.
  24. I know the bloke you're on about dai ,but he is a tosser and wouldn't believe him if he said it rains in Scotland
  25. Unusual first cross that any pics ? Is it quick enough ?
