  4. . try measuring it with a stop watch should last a bit longer than needing a stop watch ,but shouldn't need a mileometer lol
  5. Cracking pics as per Andy, I ain't that far behind you age wise ,and scaffolding ,takes its toll on the bones. But best keep busy as ifIyou don't you'll seize up,I'm like the tin man every morning lol
  6. Sandy I can see what you are saying and where you are coming from,by adding running dog you will top up on sped for sure . But is it 'necessary' every few generations or every so often ,as stated. I think the main problem is most men who breed lurchers either ain't in the game of breeding better lurchers for long enough 30 years ain't much in these terms,or what they want changes after a few years ,so there is no bench mark as there is for a greyhound,as in winning something. Only when it gets competitive in organised lurcher coursing does there seem to be an on going breeding 'plan'
  7. lurchers are running dog, u can breed lurchers forever useing related and unrelated animals.sorry was meant to quote socks ,I agree with you ,

  12. If it's the dogs I think you are talking about ,my bitch is down from similar stuff (not by the above named)and has served me well for years she's 9 now and retired.
  13. That's a cracking looking lurcher arcticgun
  14. How much would a decent slat mill big enough for a lurcher cost? Not seen any on the UK
  15. i'd say if theres a lot of blood in it ,it can make it's shite black and runny , but also there not much fat or a lot else so i'd guess it is a bit high in protein/iron? I personally just feed raw as is and worm them a bit regular
  16. Hot meat..I liked him he seemed a decent chap how old the pups now gafer
  17. My pup is a bit of a silly pup in the house always wants to be with me and really loving (too Much at times)out he's a little suspicious of strange dogs and people, but getting better. His drive to chase anything on the horizon can be unnerving ,and he never sits still, and wants to run constantly , Definitely a lot different to his mother who was a bull cross, she was far steadier and less hyper, doesn't sulk like him and less sensitive ,can't say I've done anything different, raising him. But I'm happy with him so far.
