would been cracking tide today for collecting the razors but unfortunately never had the time to get down there Bass fishing can really get the adrenaline going at times. Obviously hours of nothing lol then all of sudden it can go bit mad Once you know a spot you can tune in to the times they come through then the anticipation rises as you know some thing could happen any second even though some times it doesnt lol
-

-

Sheep Killers.. Shoot Them Or School Them
terryd replied to Landrace's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Ha I know that look my pup does it when I walk him by sheep on the lead if any bolt he starts bouncing about looking in any direction apart from the sheep as if to say I never did it -
if just a barrier scaffold netting ?

my hob is castrated and works fine plus I don't have a rampant ferret to deal with in the summer and he lives in with a spayed jill
-
I forgot it was today and went ferreting this morning and apparently no need to get me any thing doesn't mean no need to get me any thing lol But she is happy enough thats the main thing bless her

ha I have got that book back never read it think I better had

remember reading as a kid they were right stubborn buggers and hard to train but that is obviously not right cause there are some right crackers on this forum all well trained and great workers
-
I have been lucky to spend a lot of time with him especially with being on crutches the last few weeks. I don't do much training each day. Prob 30 mins broken down into 5 mins or so. The rest is walks and being a pup. There's time yet terryd. Cheers flipbull. I don't really push the jumping. A couple a day tops. I didn't really do any jump training before 6 months tbh Yea I am playing the long game and hope to have a well rounded dog by 3 years lol and if I fail it wont be through lack of trying Some people have the knack but I aint one of them so it will just take longer but no rus

Way ahead of mine time really flies with pups so much to do
-
yea one thing to see a ferret working a burrow trundling along but another to film what could be seen as a bit set-up and a scrap. Thought you might have some sort of tiny ferret gopro lol

To Poach Or Not To Poach, That Is The Question
terryd replied to owen12345's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Used to get a lot of perm as a kid getting caught would walk round a corner and bump into a farmer best tactic was to go straight up to him and say was just doing a bit of ferreting is that ok and 9 times out of 10 there was never a problem. Get the odd one tell you to sod off though. Not sure how well that would work in me forties All ways worried about the dogs at the back of me mind though but nothing bad ever happened -
times are hard so we are having a kfc or a chicken korma take away who said was romance was dead

Sheep Killers.. Shoot Them Or School Them
terryd replied to Landrace's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Nothing wrong with being a pet owner playing at hunting. If you have a dog thats served you well and loyally for years then its makes one mistake least you can do is give another chance as long as your responsible about it. -
So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?
terryd replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
Thats very interesting and oddly enough I noticed a plot today that had big ridges built up of sticks and straw and other stuff and one had lime sprinkled on it which I thought was odd I thought they might be clamps of some sort. I will have a better look when I am next there -
Have The Police In The Uk, Dont Have Anything Better To Do???
terryd replied to Saluki246's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
There are an 101 things the majority of Police Officers would rather be doing, the minority don,t like hunters especially lurcher owners. The reality is,the plod on the street walk about holding the shitty end of the truncheon, they do as their illustrious college educated Superintendants bid them do,whether they agree with it or not, they are at the whim of the goverments many fancies and foibles, would they rather arrest a scumbag peado drug dealing burglar,or a lad giving his mutt a gallop?,if you don,t see the bigger picture its an easier option to blame the lad with the shit on his fingers, unt -

bloody ridiculous as long as your not causing damage. Theres a 101 other things they could be doing seeing as we are paying for them in the first place. Christ pulled up by the chippy the other day with wife some lanky git walks up to a group of lads and hands them some drugs was so bloody obvious how bout sorting that out -

Too wet for digging still but got the cover over me onion bed just keep weeds down if nothing else purple sprouting on the way my prize winning alien parsnip haha wife will have fun wrestling with that oh and a wicker basket I grabbed out of a skip all ways wanted one -
Out of interest gafer and I have no clue did the vet join them back up or do they heal back up them selves or remain detached ? Quite interested as my pup has a suspected tendon strain on his hock that's had him lead bound for 3 months and 2 weeks not that I am counting
-
mine has a bit of bull in him and a bit of wheaton I didn't get him for that reason just wanted a pup from a couple of working lurchers. I think he has the potential to be a very good day time dog as he seems to have a nose like a hound and holds a line a treat and he his not lacking drive and brains
