Its Andean name is ‘ground apple’ and it has a pear/melon flavour. It is best eaten raw, peeled and sliced or in a fruit salad. It is very crunchy and goes well with pineapple. It’s a real thirst quencher. It can be cooked and it will keep its crunch, stir fried is absolutely delicious and seems to be best. The plant is grown from tips and can reach 1.5m. 21. wouldn't a drivey dog be an issue though one that would go at it 110% do or die type. All that turning twisting and speed in such a small area or you just let it nail in 2 seconds being the only other option ? All them stresses would far exceed what it would do after a jinking bunny pick what surface you do it on wisely sounds like sand would be good lol
