  2. Brilliant that his not phased in the slightest. Some of these terriers have got so much work in them its quite some thing
  3. well I would dispute that lol this little fella I could quite happily turn my back on while took a line straight through lambs sheep or what ever. I could literally bet my right arm on him. Wish I could say the same for my present dog lol. When it came to putting rabbits in the bag with the ferrets or flushing out he would have run rings round your spaniels no doubt I think he was referring to one dropping to ground rather than worrying sheep oh yea he was a twat for that But back then it was a good thing he was an all rounder. Had a good day ferreting with some mates once
  4. any pair of jeans from charity shop under a fiver and a cheap t shirt from the tesco/pea cocks range. No expense spared.I don't find track suit bottoms comfy my self they don't handle brambles well

  7. Could do with a few bags of apples in the freezer I need to have a word with the lady down the plots her tree is hanging with fruit every year. Sweet corn seems to be good this year with decent pollination for a change they just need a bit more ripening
  8. mine lost his shiny coat and i assume a shiny coat is a good thing when i swapped him to mostly chicken mince despite having plenty of fish Back to his normally glossy self now his back on the dry
  9. nice sing till the last 20 seconds and they made right hash of it lol
  10. When i clicked on this I sort of hoped to see a fine example of a male lurcher or a terrier but deep down I just new But yes to us mere mortals that's quite impressive. Lifting them weights while doing the splits looked well risky
  11. That's docile as f**k compared to my red bitch my lurcher put his paw on my knee today the crazy fool he needs to calm it
  12. Our cocker spaniel does my nut in lol one these would be way too much for me
  13. Raspberries doing well but its a job to get them just right they go from not quite ripe to rotten in the blink of an eye parnsips look healthy but remains to be seen whats under the ground trying to have a bit of a tidy up few squash trying to grow a pumpkin for the daughter the first has gone rotten not sure if there's enough time for another
  14. but if your dogs life is on the line time to go some where else lol because one day your dog might trot around a corner off the lead before you
  15. i remember the butcher in a town down the road used to have wild boar and all sorts game hanging out side his shop good few years ago. Great site to see but long gone. His still open just a shadow of what it used to be though
  16. google resetting your browser which ever it maybe for starters
  17. Nice going Trev How you folks been finding the heat with the dogs ? Mine was blowing hard after 4 runs last night despite having a breather between runs he just couldn't cool off. Not that it mattered as early days yet and we just wanted a couple. Fitness will soon come with him once we ease into it and temps drop.
  18. odd for bird to risk that much damage I would think ?
  19. lucky chap you could make a long net creak there
  20. I read that too jok but I think depends if your box is at the bottom of a hill they get carried about by the wind apparently Strung me first bunch of onions today. The rest need a bit more drying yet. Got onions laying around every where at the moment its great Wife has been away for few days with the car so not been able to get up the plot. Bet its run riot in 4 days me runners will be 6 feet long Could have cycled up.The lurcher would been ok but I would have to bury the cocker at the half way mark I reckon
  21. yes it would but as squeamish says lemon helps so you could experiment a bit. Or just settle for a more runny jam bit like a compote. I did read the sugar is the preserving bit so make smaller jars. I did find a cracking forum with some recipes but it had some obscure name I lost it lol
  22. here you go http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/326279-easy-blackberry-jam/
  23. tends to vary the one i used today was off a lady on facebook on the allotment groups I sort of made it up as I went along - 750g of blackcurrants, 650g of white granulated sugar, 100g of dark soft brown sugar, 50ml lemon juice, 300ml water & 75g 100% dark chocolate. Made about 7 x 180ml jars - don't boil for more than 5mins as too much liquid evaporates. It is very rich and very moreish! when I tested for a set it was very very nice though I did boil for longer than 5 minutes If you search on here there is a recipe for microwave blackberry jam thats bang on easy. I also do the se
