  1. Thank you for the information it's much appreciated ,I'm not really into showing myself tbh I was just trying to get an understanding about the breeds
  2. What about the Sealyhams and there Xs tho do they still fall under the Russell class ?
  3. So really it's just wat the owner or breeder wants to call it then
  4. Was talking to one of the lads I know that keep terriers and he couldn't give me a straight answer so thought I would ask on here ,wat is the difference between the Lakeland and the Patterdale ,and isn't the White Lakeland just a Russell type it might seem like a stupid question but I can't seem to get it answered the lad I asked sed the short haired coloured terriers are patterdales when the wire haired are Lakelands but then there's breedings that throw both types. only generally replys lads cause I'm trying to learn a thing or two many thanks
  5. How to the Plummers fair training wise ?
  6. I'm don't mind the teckel to be fair it's just as long as I can get hold of true working linesI can get them from Germany but obviously it's the cost isn't it . You can get a terrier at quarter the cost or less I have sent you a pm mate
  7. I'm don't mind the teckel to be fair it's just as long as I can get hold of true working lines
  8. Theres alot of good lads that have good bushing dogs on the bushing dog section BUT its what dogs suit you the style that does the job for you Theres beagle xs spaniel xs and pure terriers they will all hunt rabbits BUT its what when you see them work you like every-man like different types Try and get to see some work and your eyes wont lie ........................................... people will That's the thing I need to get out with other dogs because all I see work now are patterdales so I need to watch different breeds work
  9. I have a staffy at the moment that was good back in his day but he's pushing 8 now and his joints playing up ,so another staffy might well be on the cards
  10. I'm sure there are spaniels that can but surly it would be better to have a dog that's built to tackle foxes over one that's not ,I already have a dog that gets banged up when he gets hold of one don't need another lol
  11. The only problem I have with spaniels are I often bump into foxes ,which my whippet has taken a natural hatered to so would be better off with a terrier to give a helping hand when ever he grabs one ,I never go out for foxes bacause rabbits are my main game but there everywhere round where I'm from
  12. Yer to be fair the reason I posted on here is cause the lads I got out with on the rare occasion only have patterdales and they seem to think there the only ones for the job and I'm no terrier man so I thankful for the honest reply I'll take on bored what you have sed
  13. Those that have seen any of my post no I'm new ish to hunting with dogs so would like any advice ,I'm wondering witch terrier is best for me because at the moment the amount of rabbits I'm losing in the bushes when out with my whippet is a joke ,so in your mind witch breed is best suited for this line of work
