I had the two kits in the yard yesterday and the dog with the old grey hound muzzle on in case. All was fine until the kit being a kit came bounding up and started trying to play. Then the old dog got a bit too keen so I put a flea in his ear. He pisses me right off at times lol. Took him for a walk then and he put up 2 rabbits nearly had the one. Then hit a line and went off like a fox hound across a marsh. Walking back then down the the road he started pointing at the hedge and just followed a rabbit along the hedge before marking it to ground. I was walking back then thinking well his a rig

I took my JR out as soon as he could waddle about. Took him ferreting in a bag because we used to go to far for him to walk. Never forget his head cocking to the side and his ears perked up when he heard rumble under his feet then a rabbit bottled under his nose and off he went lol. He never looked back after that. He was the best dog I ever had and worked his way through the quarry list at his own speed and he just took every thing in his stride

I never have no luck always get blight on them, sometimes do cherry toms in a hanging basket. I had a lucky year some time ago with out door toms. but ever since failed dismally due to blight so this year have tried a blight resistant variety called crimson crush http://www.suttons.co.uk/Gardening/Vegetable+Seeds/Popular+Vegetable+Seeds/Salad/Tomato+Seeds+-+F1+Crimson+Crush_182440.htm and so far looking ok not we have had any blight as of yet A few carrots and a sparse row of parsley hanging in there I do like my chard and lettuce coming out my ears -
I like to see that to me it means they are using there heads and getting the job done with brains not all speed. But that is another topic

How are you tomatoes coming on now? You will have to share your secrets We've still only got a few little ones showing at the moment, we're getting a few peas and the beans are growing well, I don't know what we're going to do with all these cucumbers there's another 5 ready to pick and the courgettes are running riot as well. I think next year we will only need one of each plant and use the space for something else. funny enough me and the wife were counting them tonight bloody loads. I have no secrets and don't have a clue. This is my first year with a green house so quite l -
Got you that is handy

NHS needs sorting out and backed upto to the hilt money wise. Heard some sad news last week and sounded like a doctor basically didn't pursue some thing and now its too late. More than likely under orders to watch the pennies so reluctant to push things. Terrible

who wants easy enjoy the challenge lol. I just got back from our walk with dog off lead at heal then released to go ahead then bought back into heel. It is not a big thing but it is too me for sure lol If his at heel and winds some thing he will freeze and wait for my ok to go unless the target is on the move in which case see you later The little pisser ignored a stop command last night mind for a few steps but I blame the heat he was crackered lol. But my point is if i can do it you will be fine stick at it. Oh if you have worn a command out and its ignored just use a new word and start

wow that looks bloody great -
Yes I think if you just spent half an hour with some one with a bit more experience you would find it would be a different dog with some one else on the end of the lead and then you would think ah it is possible after all. Very easy to get stuck in a rut and think ah well that is my lot. If you just carry on nothing will change as you are now. So you could either go see some one or just have a dam good read up and try stuff. It can be mundane and monotonous marching around the same old field time after time but its got to be done

I wish all he wants to do is hunt up. I have put the hours in will walk to heel until he goes into gaze mode then he gone ruled by his heart. This lead set up has stopped him lunging for any and everything. Think I took wrong advice and had him out ferreting at 4 months. I should have trained to good standard then introduced him to work. been there lol not to late to have a go at putting him right Can't stop mine mind if there is something about but up to then we ok them luggs tell it all, terry "who me dad ? NAHHHH " yes thats the look I get all these ye

Does any one find there dogs act different in the yard with the ferrets compared to working. My dog now will be 4 in march and has been around them since a pup. They are in the back yard in the hutch or run and his seen them every single day. In the winter at least so far his been perfect. Its like his in work mode and knows they are tools to do the job. He does every thing right in the field and steps back out the way and ignores them. In the summer then to keep the familiarity going when I clean them out and let them run around the yard. He waits by the door and wants to come out and then i

A few cucumbers at home lots of tumbling toms though the plants don't look overly happy then we have marmade, superb and maybe a roma or two more tumbling and some purple spouting which i need to get up the plot and some beetroot need to sow some savoy sharpish but I struggle to get brassica going this time of year.
