  1. Love seeing little outings like that. Some thing a bit different.. I wouldn't attempt that with mine because A I am a bad shot and B old thunder nuts wouldn't be far away from mr rabbit so not a good combo oh and the old eyes are not that great now a days either. Keep them coming fine little dog
  2. Picked what I could salvage of the green toms for some chutney better than wasting them tonight. Not impressed with me cabbage few bits for dinner. Bean are delicious at the moment lovely and tender
  3. Yes it involved a car battery and pointy bit of wire I used to tag along with an old chap on a little brook he made catching trout on a ledgered worm look so easy. I never could replicate it
  4. Well said, if only I didn't have to work very true so well put my idea of heaven. Though I skip the mushroom bit as life is going fairly well don't want to end it abruptly
  5. Yes you never know what opportunities might arise. Mind you a lot of time I go through the motions just for the fun of it lol
  6. New development this week as we are getting wood chippings delivered. I was well chuffed and can now mulch my paths the toms have got blossom end rot due to not be happy with the watering situation I assume. pointless letting them go ripe so I will either compost the lot or pick them green and use them for some thing every thing else ok purple sprouting should be good come spring
  7. I think thats perfect your a lucky fella. In my opinion a terrier is perfect for ferreting. Looks a cracker and keep us posted My best ferreter was a jr he was a dog to be proud of only reason i got a lurcher was for a bit of lamping as well
  8. Good that you are having a think about it. There is such a thing as over kill

    Sky Tv

    sky is an extortionate price
  10. Rent the plots next door that seems to work Could you break up a pallet stick some points on and whack them in for your fence. I don't care what things look like as long as they sort of work
  11. What if you take her for little stroll before you bring her in and maybe take away her water an hour before she comes in. Just thinking out loud
  12. Not a clue what they are...bought em from b&q Only reason I asked is I grew greyhound once and tasted great but wouldn't stand long before splitting
  13. Very impressed with tumbling toms my first year with them and we are neck deep in toms. Just made yet another batch of soup. Definitely do them again next year
  14. Having they been standing long some with just start to split after a while while others stand better. So I have noticed. Are they greyhound ?
  15. At least that was the plan but nothing went up the pass but not too worry a nice way to spend an hour. The plan was to work a bank of cover bank towards to the net. I thought there was a little foot path going through it and the dog could have worked the cover either side and put the wind up any thing about. But it turned out to be over grown. But once the cover is down we will try again I do enjoy a sneaky bit of netting
  16. I did that last year jok and I also found out the flat ones didn't keep well like that one at the top on the left. So this year I will use them first too
  17. Struggling there my self I hung some in the house last year and they went off quite quick but the ones in my shed out side which is plastic and suffers from condensation kept really well. bUt we did use them quite quick any way So this year I might just knock up a water proof lean too and hang them under that
  18. There was a fella on here who does not post much now a days but he used to put up cracking threads of his cockers with the hawks and ferrets and his dogs seemed to excel at it all
  19. I pinched the wifes cocker when he was 7 or 8 and he marked fine and took to it like a duck to water eager to please. He had zero training though but if he had been trained and used to a hunting life he would been awesome little chap
  20. Beautiful dog keep any lad happy
  21. Rabbits seem to move a around a lot it is surprising. Certain areas will hold in the summer then as the cover dies they move. If you only have a handful as well they can be good at keeping there heads down too
  22. I have two of this years hob together and the smaller one gets a bit of a ragging but nothing too bad. Will see how I go next summer though when they are adults. I wouldn't be surprised if I need to split them then during the summer. Will play it by ear
  23. He sounds the best person to have in the job and he will have more of an understanding than the others. It is criminal really to hound some one like that. No pun intended. If he was black gay or god knows what they wouldn't dare say a thing but god forbid he likes working dogs. Disgusting
