  1. It is a tricky one for sure. I have seen my old hob who is dead now chase my 26 inch lurcher around the yard. The dog did his best to get out the way but in the end started snarling over his shoulder and I got hold of the ferret sharpish before the dog did. My old jill on the other hand the dog will let her walk around his feet no problem as he trusts her. The two young hobs he don't trust and I don't let them mix. In the field all is well because he can get out the way
  2. As said above if you don't have any one to show you get the book. Well worth it and will take you right through it. It is an art well worth learning. A dark windy night and a net it don't get much better https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/1846890586/ref=tmm_other_meta_binding_used_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&condition=used&qid=&sr=
  3. your not kidding bloody lucky they are nice would been right mess other wise
  4. Get a nice thick layer of card board down the plan is the weeds are spent by the time it rots away. I have a few beds on the go. They still get weeds but not as many and easy to keep on top of plenty of info on the charles dowding web site and youtube channel
  5. Bang goes another spot really sad too see
  6. I would be more concerned where the insides are going the daughter made pumpkin pie last year and it was lovely lol
  7. The last year or two around here a lot of my local spots have died out or dam near. I lamped a spot last week where a couple of year ago I took my youngest daughter to see the dog run and he knocked over 5 in a very short time and in two fields. The same spot now the forestry has been clear felled and the farmer has trimmed all the hedges and bull dozed the brambles and mixi has hit and now not a rabbit to be seen. Quite sad really the country is a bare place once it's devoid of rabbits. Luckily they are survivors and will return hopefully.
  8. Be a bit ruthless and try ditch any sort of cover, hiding places.
  9. Me and the wife enjoy a nice tender cooked hare. Not many around here so I don't go out my way. Because they are thin on the ground if you want to net one you really need to do your homework
  10. Yes mate, Fred....... he is a c**t!!!!!!I tolerate him due to his unique set of skills and not his social interaction or general intelligence! Lol To be fair hell go through a brick wall to embarrass me Matt reassuring to know there are others out there

  12. Excellent great fun when they are young watching them progress
  13. They sit out around here thick cover or not. Then the dog finds them and puts them under a bit of pressure until they go to ground. Unless the cover is really thick then he struggles a bit. But with out him I wouldn't have much hope at all Dogs looking great. Thank you. Nothing to do with me though just the way he is lol
  14. yep big fan of bells. Never ferret with out them. Real asset espeacially if your on your own and even if I dont hear them the dog does. He was looking down the hedge row the other day and I took a walk down and sure enough my jill was out on top. The holes went further than I thought

  16. I use a tray in the furthest end from the bed and they use that. Well not actually the tray just the furthest corner where i happen to have a tray. The old jill went through a phase of going every where but since going in the new hutch she is back on track
  17. do you have a dog Darren ? Only bolted one so far my self but now the cover is dieing back hope to find another one lol.
  18. this true but they won't hand over your details willy nilly. They need court orders. So unless your up to some thing dodgy nothing to worry about But, if I've done nothing wrong, why are they spying on me ? not spying as such just logging but not in vivid detail just you visited the huntinglife at 6pm or what ever. Then if you threaten to duff up poor old ken at 6.01 with a user name of willywonker. They would contact the forum owner as there would be logs this end showing the ip willwonker used. Then they would find out what internet provider owned the ip then contact the interne
