    kong

Thanks Arry he was mopping them up on the lamp a treat until he did his toe in. Doubt he will see the lamp again this season. He likes to have a total wipe out each season
  6. Kong is the brother to my other hob and just hit 8 months and hasn't been out yet so today I decided to give him a whirl as one of them is getting the snip next year just a question of who. The dog was lame on his toe after yesterday so today was a good opportunity to walk a couple of fields that are surround by a dual carrageway and an A road on the other side. Even on a lead he is a god send. We started walking around the edge and there was scent about but nothing at home. We were nearly done and heading back along the last bit when typically a rabbit hopped out in fr
  7. Well we bagged our second ferreted rabbit of the season this morning. On a roll now It sure does make you appreciate them. I think this lurcher of mine is great watching him working his nose this morning was the best thing. He uses it like a wand even though he can't get in the cover because it is so thick he stands there altering the position of his snout and wafting the air. Bloody great. I travelled light and didn't have the camera sadly so just a couple of snaps when we got home. We worked along the top of some forestry for starters and he scented a rabbit a long th

    Goat curry.

Butcher up the road sells goat but because it is a bit of an oddity around here its at lamb prices
  9. yes I bet Micky. Bloody thin on the ground here. My ferreting total so far is one lol. All my little spots where I could all ways pickup one or two are empty. So I can certainly appreciate a day like you had. Top stuff
  10. Good day for you both. The nights will start pulling out now and it feels like it is over before it has started lol
  11. Me too which is a great shame Tuka has done great job. Makes the dog a pleasure to own and you don't need a Valium on every walk
  12. Yea pain in the neck sir limpalot is on restricted duties
  13. Same here I used to kill every fox I saw when I was younger but now a days I just don't have it in me. Nothing I like better than too see a nice handsome fox going about it's business. If I spot one I distract the lurcher to give it a chance but he soon twigged that one and fooking zooms off ahead looking out for one now lol if he suspects any thing
  14. Nice one napper. That is why I like ferreting too it is nice team work and a pleasure to watch. Also nice to put any little sheep niggles to bed lol
  15. I use nets so hopefully no running lol. Got to say your dog looks a picture
  16. yea I know weather has been perfect last few nights but I am sort of getting used to big lay offs with this dog lol. Might let him have wander with the ferret at the weekend as his not likely to get any runs. But he won't be seeing the lamp for a long time to come
  17. I think your guessing right. I did toy with the idea of getting some cordon ones but the price put me off lol
  18. ah mine is exactly the same and in the same position
  19. just one day no need to get excited. Bit of beef from aldi and a pimped up sunday dinner on the day done.
  20. Lovely looking dog. I feel his/your pain lol mine has spent half his life lead bound. It is time well spent mind and the longer you can go the better it seems. He was a few months in here and was yearning to go check out the field I take him ferreting some times on a lead he thoroughly enjoys it his out of action at the mo with a toe Hope yours mends well and gets back at it when his healed
  21. terrible sorry to hear this. Looked a fine dog in great nick so obviously had good life with you
  22. is the dog being neglected though ? Mine can hold his piddle for bloody hours and has a routine and if he does get caught short he goes to the door. In Fact in bad weather I have to lever the sod out the door We have a house but his area is the front room and kitchen
  23. Nice one I do love seeing home made stuff going on. I hope when I am gone my girls remember dads chutney and jams and it motivates them to have a go
