Is it me or are there more non chasers about nowadays..Any dog would benefit from using its teeth now and again or even just seeing a rabbit run,but tethering a rabbit live to the lure and running it around the schooling track is a bit much,and lets face it if you make that the norm then no wonder track dogs keep going off form and needing more kills..Problem is too higher grades are expected. You could have a grand game little dog that would run through fire for a rag and never need a kill,but if that dog cant do a stupidly high grading time and is deemed too slow it would never see the track

Im a big fat c**t,but at least I dont spend my time shopping with the ladies and looking at dummies in shop windows....man up for christs sake... It upsets you that your fat, doesn't it. I find pointing a finger at others might make me feel better or convince myself Im a wolf and not a sheep..sound familiar?

Ive seen whippets take foxes. A big heart will fit in any size of dog. But when you have a dog that possesses a punishing bite and hes fit enough after a run to deliver it then matters are sooner brought to an end. One bite from my old dog and a fox was finished if not immediately dead. The foxes own bite after that has nothing in it. Ive heard of these little dogs with the so called knack of killing foxes but frankly having been around a bit Ive come to respect foxes too much to believe it. It depends whats in fashion and if you say the right thing on here. A couple of years ago there would of been a queue a mile long for this pup but nowadays the bullx isnt the in thing,and as far as I can see thats very good news for bullx dogs,because only the real people keep there interest...and fewer pups land in the wrong hands with people who dont understand and cant handle bullyx dogs.

I would give honey first,for a couple of days. It has antiseptic qualities and you might be suprised. Dont be mean with it and dont let the dog drink for a bit until it gets right down. I would try that twice a day. Ive stopped a lot of coughs and irritations with it.

Sounds like you just want a bit more robustness in a dog. I dont blame you because its a bloody nuisance trying to work with the sensitive type. On the physical side genrally speaking if you stick to half crosses they will be more durable I think,and stay away from 3/4greyhounds because you will get just as many injuries unless the one you have is a bit careful of itself in which case it wouldnt do much for me personally. I like the reckless do or die attitude. I would keep a good dollop of the right whippet blood though. You would miss the good things you like about whippets I think. As for B

Second or third that. Hes about 500 an hour cheaper than any vet and spot on with injuries. Ive never had advice go wrong with him once. Andre is a good vet and so is Don at swinfen vets..All good dog men.

At £400 not a chance al have a go at making one lol Ive made them before. We had the black wire spools,like leethedog says. My dad got a bloke to turn a piece of alluminium which fitted the wheel and made the hub for the starter motor shaft. Thats all I can remember about it. If I wanted one now I would have the Bull-x one with remote control and the turning gear.

We dont breed for colour here genrally,but I would say with most lurcher lads the tendency is against white. The coursing dogs are largely very light fawn for the reasons Peng gave.

some i go round are five foot high. Most of the rabbits walk out unseen.They know how to use the cover.

Take mine crop hopping. Good exercise for dogs that can do the work. Some hunt through but the best for keeping fit is the jumpers.
