  2. In the 35 years me and the Mrs have been together we have never owned a microwave oven.
  3. I find it's not so much the bait but how comfortable the rats feel. If the bait is out in the open they'll want to grab and run, even at night they are suspicious that owls might be about. I put down wooden pallets , they'll sit quiet happily under there giving you a good shot.
  4. How much does one cost with a mag and silencer?.
  5. Cheap as chips in the U.S...https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ammunition/rifle-ammo/.204-ruger/
  6. Any one got any ball park prices for 204 factory ammunition?. How much for how many?, what weight?, and any one used the 24G Hornady NTX?. Cheers!.
  7. Cheaper on Ebay....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Air-Arms-Diabolo-Field-Heavy-Pellets-22-5-52mm-Air-Gun-Air-Rifle-Shooting/114130927044?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=414387545437&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  8. Always used AA Diabolos. Buy them 10 tins at a time in .22.
  9. 60 for 3.5!!!. That's 480 an oz!. Are people really paying that?.
  10. I had a wasp in the kitchen this afternoon. Caught it in a butterfly net and took it out side.
  11. If you are using the large 'mousetrap' type rat traps, fix them down to a larger flat piece of wood. Gives the trap a much bigger foot print and will stop the inertia from the spring from moving the trap, you'll have more chance of the 'wire' hitting the rat with more energy in it as only the spring will move...THWACK!. Rats are neophobic, they're extremely wary of any thing new, some a lot more than others. Try putting the traps out baited but not set, they'll get more confident. Put the traps where rats will feel comfortable coming to them. I put traps and bait under pallets, the rats will d
  12. I went out and videoed me shooting the different cartridges today. Trying to put it up on here.
  13. They're only for rats just out side the house. Mrs chucks shit loads of stuff out for the birds and I can get close to the table no probs. I got tinnitus and I just want some thing I can shoot without putting on ear muffs. See rat, grab gun and go!!!.
  14. Picking up 10 boxes of Eley 2'' number 6 from Exeter. £6.10 a box.....near enough ?
  15. Just been out shooting at some targets in the field and they are definitely more powerful and louder then the old ones. I'll still use them, as long as I know they are louder I can stick some ear plugs in. When I weighed the powder the older ones had a round shape to it where the new was a more square shape. Gonna' look for some 2'' some where as well.
  16. My favourite 410 cart is the 2 1/2'' Eley Fourlong. Just right for what I want, close range vermin, and quiet enough so I don't need ear protection when used in me Baikal Hushpower. I hand 6 cartridges left so went to Mole Valley and bought some more. Bought 10 boxes, 250. These were in a different designed box, but the spec was exactly the same, Eley Fourlong, 12.5 gram, number 6 shot in a 65mm/2 1/2'' case. Any ways, seen a rat on the bird table, about 5 meters away and shoots it with one of the new Eley carts. Shoots the rat and 'BANG!',it flies off the table and lands 4 feet away. Normal
  17. I just get a 'bad vibe' off the bloke. Always listen to yer spidey senses...
  18. I have 6 chainsaws. All Stihl apart from a cheap McCulloch MAC335 that I bought years ago. I had a Stihl single handed arborist chainsaw which was brilliant. Dropped it from a height and it was totalled. Bought a Husky 335XPT single handed saw and it was nothing but trouble, it's sat in the garage collecting dust. Went and bought a brand new Stihl MS200T single handed saw and it's a joy to use. Having said that, if I just want to grab a saw for a quick job I use the McCulloch. That thing has taken shit loads of abuse. I've run it on neat petrol with oil dripped in the tank off the dip stick o
  19. Looks like the shit my Grandad used to bark up and spit in his gob cup.
  20. It's O.K. a mate just sent me this https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/809241/general-licence-wml-gl36.pdf
  21. I've been trying to find out if you can legally shoot pigeons with an air rifle that's fitted with night vision?. I've looked on the Gov. General licence page but can't see any thing that applies. Any one got ideas or links?. Cheers.
