  4. I too used the shredded paper for a while, but I found in winter it got damp after a bit. I switched to straw then and found it held out longer before being replaced. I wouldn't go with hay ,too dusty, smelly and mites.this time of year in my own run is shavings only. Kenny.
  5. shes a cracking looking wee bitch, pups should make great wee ferreting dogs, atb with the pups.
  6. hard knockback .great looking dog!!!!
  7. apoligies black neck!!, just thinking that if I no good thing to reply to peoples post ,then I wouldn't bother posting.would you think the cross I mentioned above is an allrounder as they say.

  13. well done, hardy wee bugger the ferret.looked like cold damp burrows.
  14. went out ferreting yestday afternoon to get a couple of bunnys for a friend that was teaching a team bonding class on kill it ,cook it ,eat it. within a few minutes I had a few gathered up and decided to call it a day. this was a 3 holer ditch,no sign of a signal on the locator! And so the long wait began.after an hour and fading light we decided to block up all 3 holes and reluctantly head home. We went back later that night with the lamp to find that a gap a been scrapped out between the rock and soil, he was on the run.we lamped all the surrounding fields but nothing. this morning I venture
  15. ferreting season over unfortunately, was out doing some large burrows that held loads of bunnys. they had the set of mind to not bolt no matter what! after much head scratching and a dig to reveal a nest of young ones, I boxed up the ferrets and headed home.
  16. the recharchable lamps that DLloyd has are absolutely brilliant. 2 or 3 nights lamping no bother .for the price aswell cant be beat. some better lamps and batteries out there for sure at big money so everyone to their own
  17. no matter who or what they are they will be seen by farmers and the law as doggy men ,coursing men and hunting guys .all tarred with the one brush unfortunately
  18. as said above ,resin floor is a great job ,plenty sawdust or comfy bed will soak up all.
  19. best of luck .not enough dog shows catering for our ferrets.
