    Is It Just Me

Don't wank before shut eye, always works
  2. Anyone getting rid of a car roof box or know anyone that is? PM me please. I can pick up within reasonable distance in the north west, thanks
  3. I've had a bad back for years. Doctor says I need to rest up for a month or two and take pain killers! WTF!! I've no time for that. It wakes me at night sometimes, it feels like a trapped nerve. It tends to go long enough for me to drop off when I pull my legs up as in the foetal position. I have to have a cushion behind me when I drive it's sometimes that bad. I've been putting a fence line up today in work so tomorrow when I get out of bed it'll be murder. I sympathise with anyone who has a bad back...Apart from the dossers who claim to have one.
  4. Head for here, the Ford Inn HD9 2LS you should find it

    Fat People

I've heard fat birds are good at noshing. Can anyone confirm that?
  7. Virtually new, worn once Barbour Gaiters size L. £16 inc P&P or will drop off/meet up with, within reason in north west. PM me please
  8. You'll get used to seeing shite bands as you get older, these big names, they can't turn the clock back but people think they're getting them in their heyday. McCartney's the same, ditto The Who and others from the sixties and early seventies. I saw the Stones in '76 at Earls Court and they "blew my mind", but 37 years on....No chance. I saw the Hollies last year and Manfred Mann, good sixties bands, and they can still put a good show on, brilliant musicians. The same can be said for Steve Harley, seen him in February and he was very good, all his band could play. I'm going to watch The Seeker
  9. Thought I'd put this up on here just in case anyone's after a VERY cheap motor or you know of someone who might be interested. I have a P reg 1.4 VW Polo for sale. "What's wrong with it"? Not much really...The clutch is slipping and the drivers window will not open. There's is some rust on the wheel arches and sills. Taxed 'til the end of July, MOT'd 'til August. Five door, four good tyres, newish battery, radio/CD player, cam belt done at 71k, (it's done 84k), electric mirrors, PAS, passenger window working fine, alarmed, everything else working fine. I need this moving as I've another car co
  10. Cheers fella. I've been looking at the ghost nets.
  11. Can anyone recommend a decent camo net and where to buy? There's loads on the market but which offer the best net at a decent price?
  12. Putting this on for a friend...Has anyone got a young black eyed white ferret jill for sale? Preferably in the north west. PM please
  13. Anyone on here knocking smaller meshed nets up? I've got some paddocks to do as well as some fields that have been planted out with wild flowers and saplings. The flowers and saplings are taking a beating from the rabbits, lots of young rabbits that will pass through the standard purse net mesh. I've no time to wait for them to grow, they need shifting asap. No chance of shooting them either it's too public. Anyone making the smaller meshed nets?
  14. My grandparents are well gone. Never met my mums dad but got the bug for fieldsports from him apparently. He kept ferrets, shot and hunted for the pot in N Ireland. Mum came across a lost photo of him at her brothers years ago, stood there with a shotgun under his arm. My mum and dad, bless 'em are still going well into their eighties, and have twenty odd grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and growing. Every now and then the kids put the odd photo of them up on facebook saying how much they love them...But they hardly ever visit! I keep telling them to get their arse round there and g
  15. Whats the noise level like with the Hornet, (Presuming its moderated)?? My .204 is a right ear basher. Even with a good mod! Do you reload? If so do you crimp the rounds? Whats the noise level like with the Hornet, (Presuming its moderated)?? My .204 is a right ear basher. Even with a good mod! Do you reload? If so do you crimp the rounds? . Noise level is ok. I've a T4 on it. I don't reload but a friend reloads the odd 50 rounds for me
  16. I have a 22 Hornet and a 223 on my ticket but only actually own a Hornet at the moment. The Hornet serves the purpose very well and I've had no need yet to get a 223. I think I would need someone to mentor me with using the 223 as I've not had much experience of shooting one. I'd need to get my head around the extra distance and power on offer from the 223. The Hornet is on a open ticket as opposed to a closed for the 223, so I can get to use it on smaller land permissions where certain vermin need controlling. Cracking round

    Canada Geese

what a fecking hero , pricking eggs and shooting birds out of season then next people will be whinging that there is nothing to shoot Canada Geese fella, not unicorns. Where have you been for the last twenty feckin' years, they're taking over the countryside and local parks! I've a permit to control them on works land and what season are you talking about? They're open or on G/L! They carry decease, are aggressive, ruin golf courses, if they nest on the moor are capable of taking young grouse, and go through some grass on the farms I go on. Ask any farmer if he wants them on. Feck me,

    Canada Geese

They certainly are. I've been at them for a month now. I was pricking eggs until the end of April and I've shot quite a few too
  20. I've a Ruger that hits everything I aim it at. Good solid calibre, I've shot foxes up to 125 yds, never had a need to go further out. Home loading is the way to go though recently I've been shooting with Sellier and Bellot with my Hornet on the geese and they' re spot on
  21. Don't know if there's many shooters from the north west on here, but I thought I'd give you a heads up about a gun shop in Oldham I found out about recently. It's called Simply Firearms. I called for some ammo yesterday. It's owned by Derek, a sound guy. Search for it on google. Saved me a journey to Kirklees Guns anyway.
  22. Just been reading in the Shooting Times that Brian Nuttall has had his Terrier returned to him after a year by the ArsePCA. Apparently it was lifted last year by the Arsepca after it ran off during a day out with hounds. Brian wasn't informed for several months that they had the Terrier in the first place. After weeks searching for the Terrier, Brians place was raided and they tried to seize his other dogs too. The Countryside Alliance prevented this. The Terrier, a bitch called Topic, was originally taken to be used as evidence as it was alleged that Brian had been interfering with a Badger s
  23. In fairness to these so called famous people being hauled over the coals, I think it only right that those doing the accusing should be named too! I've no probelm with Roach, Hall, Talbot, Harris and Clifford etc getting their just desserts, but if they're not guilty, like has been said their reputation is damaged beyond repair
  24. nice one mate.. ever had a dunnock/cuckoo??? No, only Pipit.
