  1. Wayne Rooney will be devastated they've retired.
  2. We stayed at Arisaig which is about nine miles from Malaig. We used to take the four kids on some of the beaches you're talking about and have them to ourselves all day. Kids just went feral for a fortnight. Absolutely stunning place. Saw loads of salmon waiting in a pool to go up a very short river , think it was called river morar if I remember correctly . There were some monsters in that pool.

    Holidays

Used to do three trips a year to north Cornwall , now I live there so don't go anywhere on holiday, why would you. Kev we've got our annual boys fishing trip booked in September if you fancy coming across for a couple of days . If you don't mind dossing it in a caravan with three northern monkeys.
  4. You can replace them with fahre electric radiators which are far more convenient but you need an electrician to take out the economy seven mains board so that they are powered up all day. These are individually programmed so you can set each room desperately. They use about a third as much electric but they are quite expensive to buy. I've installed quite a few sets of these for landlords in my time and the tenants found them much better. As has been said though you don't want to be chucking loads of cash at a rented property.
  5. Did a lot before moving to cornwall . Don't worry about your tackle being old, I used my pair of silstar powerwinds which I've had for twenty odd years, wouldntswap them for any of the newer rods . We used to go to bridgnorth area a fair bit as well. If you go late in the season it can get a little hard as the fish have wised up. Try something different like rolling apiece of free lined luncheon meat through or go to one of the lesser fished stretches , this may involve a fair walk. If its going to be bright sunny days when you're fishing try early mornings or evening sessions or night session
  6. It was only a five min chat pal showed me some pics from back in the 70s and 80s when bunnys were booming up north yorkshire told Grassington , settle , them were the places where you could come home with over 100 bunnies in one outing. we used to go up malham and kettle well in the late 80s and 90s. It was too easy really but thats all gone now not worth a run now at all.
  7. Mick dadd . He's not far from Sheffield.
  8. Nothing to do with me mate. I just go with the flow. I can see your mistake and an easy one at that :thumbs:If you close one eye and squint with the other he dose look the spitting image of johnnyboy apart from the fuller waistline ,robbo :laugh:Sorry my mistake thought it was walshie arranging it. Don't know where I got that from but I was reading the thread whilst looking after my other granddaughter who decided she wanted her breakfast at half past five this morning. A
  9. Walshie, don't alter it on my account mate. You did say it could be either of the two weekends. The son and family can only come down on that week as the daughter in law is a copper and can only get that week off work. I was just hoping it would be the 24th. Newkid says he can alter his arrangements so just leave it if it suits everyone else. I will only only get pissed and make a twat of myself anyway lol.
  10. take them on a camping trip to Wales robbo I don't think the daughter in law does sleeping in the company of earwigs and spiders lol

  17. Longer days coming Bry, I can geg to you in just over an hour so I'll get a couple of evening sessions in with you, And obviously get down here on the river once it opens.. Yes that would be sound Kev some good marks to go bassing in the evenings when the tides coincide with the twilight. Or we can just have a general play about when the fish move in. Can't wait for the mackerel to get here I love spinning for them with sand eels.
  18. Your welcome Kev. Just sorry I couldn't join you. Hopefully we can have a few sessions throughout the year when your up here. Plenty of spots to try in the right conditions.

Just seen that mp,s are voting tomorrow on decriminalising not paying your TV licence. Wonder what they will try threatening people with if that gets voted in. How many more will say fcuk paying it if they haven't got the law behind them.
