  1. I dnt need to save and trust me dogs we be runnin arent JUST good enough for hares like I said il match any gsd X or malamute X field or fen just out of interest what X would you be running and is it your own dog?
  2. if youve got one dog and go out on the same permission regular the quarry will become neverse even if the dog does or does'nt bark/yapp. running the quarry regular and missing it makes it wise up and become lamp shy. i wouldnt have thought a yipping dog wouldnt make a great deal of difference to how fast the quarry became neverse.
  3. i best show the misses this. it might stop her beating me lol. on a serious note women beating is wrong in my eyes.
  4. ive had the camera down my throate a good 15 years ago. i just had the spray, once i controlled my breathing and relaxed i didnt find it all that bad. what did piss me off was the two doctors stood there having what felt like a hour long discussion about what they could or couldnt see whilst the camera was in me.
  5. well done to your pup. although the weather was bad the education that pup has gained is near on perfect for her. a great day for a young dog. well done Tomo and Vin for getting out there on a day like that.
  6. imo your first sentence is wrong. ive seen some damn good dogs that whimper abit on some runs, they have also put alot of game away time after time through out there life. Bullshit if you was going to buy a dog and somebody put an add on and said good dog but yaps would you buy it? Would you f**k because even if it was a good dog soon as started doing that in field your quarry would be well gone tou maybe goung home wi odd bunnie. But not like you would with a dog that does yap. if the dog was good at its job a little whimper wouldnt bother me at all, if the chaps was honest enough to tell me

  8. hes only 1/4 malamute his mother was a first X malamute/greyhound and the sire is lurcher to lurcher. he was 2 last month theres only 2 of them bred that exact way in this country, him and his brother. he is just 27tts and was 77lb when i weighed him last a good 8months ago.
  9. the third pic down is a fine looking animal.
  10. how olds your mates malXg have you been out and seen it work? if you have how in your opinion do they compare with the gsdXgreys you have worked.
  11. did you finish them for him?
  12. i cant really moan about the citizeans advice in my area they helped me out with a problem once. imo if it wasnt for the fact i had them backing me it would never of been delt with correctly, or perhaps not delt with at all.
  13. another fine looking animal the sire has certainly thrown some height into those pups.
  14. shapping up well me1. looks a touch lighter built than birds dog buck in that photo.
  15. its a pain in the arse when your lamp packs in. when i buy a new lamp the first job i do is rewire them, i do away with the switch and wire it up so i just touch 2 wires together never get any problems with thwe switch failing.
  16. what a shift i put in. got into bed at 20 past 2 this morning, got in and went straight to bed. my knees and wrists are fecking sore today as the cold got into them yesterday and it dont seem to have completly come out of them yet. i had a bloody good day and it was well worth it. i used purse nets allday but it wasnt to bad, because of the snow blocking some of the holes i didnt need to put anymore than 9 nets down on a warren allday. my old dog looks in better condition than me this morning lol. if you could see us now you would think i was the one who's semi retired.
  17. well done lads, if you dont get out again with the lamp until next season youve certainly finished on a high.
  18. it was a decent night for the end of the season, the conditons were ideal to help me put as much as i could in bucks favour. the young dog is doing o.k for his self. the look on rays face when he left mine told a story, you could see he was over the moon with his pup. well done buck.
  19. sly thing to do that. still funny though.
  20. alrite mate bird tags along with me alot on hunting trips after chatting to him the other day i am confident a trip out with us will be in the pipe line for you. i will get bird to get in touch with you.
  21. interesting thread this. my old man told me stories of a hare local to use which had a white neck that him and his mates use to run. ive walked the ground alot over the years and never seen another there. makes me wonder why there has only ever been just that hare being a different colour at that particular spot.
  22. It's that fecking Yorkshire pudding fault millet,,,lol,,, he was banging on about the extra 3 when we had 97,, so me and trigger did the donkey work getting the catch back down,,,, all he had to do was catch 3 ,,, Heheheee..me and young kieran just sat down and had a butty while we watched you and Trigger struggling with all them extra bunnys of mine..and you only had a few hundred yards to go anyway..It made up for the extra height I had to climb to catch em. . It felt like I was moonwalking back down the last hundred yards with no extra weight..heheheee . .. . Thanks Lads.
  23. thanks for the invite Tomo and Vin. i had a great day and it was nice to see my old dog out doing a bit, he dont do much these days as the young dog has taken over. got a phone call from my sister today young kieran woke her up early this morning buzzing his head off he couldnt wait to tell her how good his day was. me and the boy had a long shift i picked him up at 2am friday morning and got back at 10.15pm friday night over a 20 hour shift but well worth it.
